FFFH

Suddenly I'm in a mood. *clears throat* RAR! Not sure if it's the weird-ass dream last night about having to tape some sort of animated MacGyver show for Suz (they even animated a mullet for the guy) or the fluffy fic from hell (hereinafter known as "FFFH") I'm avoiding.

Maybe a little of both. Hmm... Fluffy mullet from hell?

I'm in conflict over the FFFH. On one hand there *is* a fluffy side of me that squeees and wants Jack & Sam to get married and have babies (because babies are *always* "happily ever after") like RIGHT NOW! And they'd need some sort of dog and possibly a cat. Of course Jack'd need the killer entertainment system...as a trade-off, Sam would get the back room as a study...but that would mean the pool table would have to go and so they'd end up talking about adding on a room because every other room would be filled up with self-cleaning children and/or pets...

*cough*

Then there is the other side. The side that quite simply says, "QUIT READING FAIRY TALES, YOU GEEK!"

So the FFFH still looms over me, waiting for the fluffy side to gain control of my brain long enough to write more. Hmm. Of course, I could always leave "mrv3000" behind and start a new life. I've had a good run here.

Yes, I think you should enter the fluffy fic witness protection program.

Or maybe [livejournal.com profile] mrv2000 should write it?

Or maybe generally there needs to be a fluffy fic amnesty, looks like this one is making your life miserable.

HA! I dreamt last night that if I penciled in my eyebrow a different way, it'll make a subtle yet attractive difference in the shape of my face.

Oy. Even unconcious I am *so* shallow. ;)

Yes! Maybe they could set me up somewhere writing George/Janet angst.

mrv2000 would give me the finger if I asked.

Hey yeah!!

Wow. You have weird dreams.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2003-11-10 02:14 pm (UTC)(link)
And that was one of the more logical ones. *g*

[identity profile] suzvoy.livejournal.com 2003-11-10 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Scary.

You feeling better? :)

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2003-11-11 07:10 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. Much less likely to throttle something today. :D

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2003-11-11 11:26 am (UTC)(link)
HAHAHAHA! Did you need me to throttle someone for you?

Me? Naaaah...

[identity profile] yamadara.livejournal.com 2003-11-10 04:44 pm (UTC)(link)
self-cleaning children and/or pets...

I think there could be a market for those.

The side that quite simply says, "QUIT READING FAIRY TALES, YOU GEEK!"

*pats the logical, sane side* There there. Want a big gun? *g*

I'll send you fairy tale fluff.

You just watch your email young lady. *g*

Totally craving fic

[identity profile] alliesings.livejournal.com 2003-11-10 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? When do the rest of us get to read it?

See, Meesh, there's nothing geeky about fairy tales. They're fun!

Oopsss....

Ummm...probably never.

It's bad...really bad.

But I do love fairy tales too. Especially Sam/Jack fairy tales in the land of fluff.

*falls over in everlasting grin-ing-ness*

I would join in the fluffy grinning if I had some fairytale fluffy fic to read. . .

Heh. Actually, I grew up reading fairy tales. The fluffy Disney versions. The darker Grimm versions. All the different colored Fairy Books (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/048621673X/002-2072213-7674453?v=glance) (I really need to buy all those some day...)

I guess what I meant was that part of me thwacks myself for getting overly fluffy/sentimental/unrealistic when it comes to these characters sometimes. :)

Oh, c'mon, don't do that! I'm a closet romantic at heart and would be *so* happy if, after it's all done, they get together, decide to head up to Minnesota and spend all their time fishing and making babies.

Besides, Sam's feelings on the subject of children have been canonized in the ep. 2010. OTOH, I think Jack would be hesitant about the prospect of having children, especially after what happened to Charlie, but would decide in the end that it would be worth the risk. They both love kids after all.

::sigh:: I really think we should start our own support group.

Oh - I totally agree! I would love nothing more!

I'm just whining because I've been challenged to write a fic where they're all schmoopy while *on a mission*. Heh. It's the 'on a mission' part that's making my realistic side come out and bite me on the butt. *g*

Good point! I never saw it like that. :)

Yeah, you'd think that'd be a bit tough on him. But I could see them both wanting to have kids. I just giggle at the thought of Jack retired and playing househusband.

::sigh:: I really think we should start our own support group.

Squee Addicts Anonymous?

Ah! Now that makes sense. Personally, having actually been in the Air Force, if I write something it won't have them in direct chain of command. Still in the military, yes, but not in DCoC.

How about making the mission section part of a dream? Depending on how the story's going, it could get you out of the proverbial rut.

Yes! Love the name. "Ahem, everyone please take your seats. Thank you. On behalf of the other Michelle I'd like to welcome you all to the first official meeting of Squee Addicts Anonymous . . ."

Oooo! Potential source for military questions. *wiggles eyebrows* ;)

Yeah. I just cannot get them together while they're on the same team.

Hmm. The others issuing the challenge would probably kill me...which makes it *so* worth considering. :D

Hey, I'd be happy to help any way I can, although I was only in for one tour and left about eight years ago.

Yes, there are so many more fairy tales out there than the first dozen that spring to mind.

And you are right that Sam and Jack really bring out the unrealistically sentimental side to some of us. Perhaps it's to counteract all that angst.
