In a surprise move Jeff Probst has declared that no one gets voted off this week! Immunity Idols all around!

However, what do you want to bet that they won't let him share the community tent tonight? And forget about his ration of rice. Just as long as Harper doesn't go off and start fishing in the nude. Might be worth giving him the rice then.

No-one gets voted off this week because they shut down the production... jeebus, can you imagine what Washington would be like if the President could wave his hand and shut down Congress every time they got ready to make a vote on something he didn't like?

If Jeff declared that there wouldn't be tribal council for a couple months weeks so that the person who was about to be voted out could have time to turn things around... the other players would probably lynch him. (Who knew Canadians would cheat at Survivor politics?)

Actually, it looks like his plan is to drive around the country over the next couple of months to tell everyone:

1). How much Quebec separatists suck.

2). How much the socialists suck.

3). How much the Liberals really, really suck for daring to get along with the separatists and the socialists instead of telling them to talk to the hand.

4). Nothing about the economy.

Well, it's working in Alberta! Apparently they now want to separate and take their oil money with them. And maybe join the U.S. I've never been to sure about that.

I think the great irony is, every time Harper bleats about how low the Liberals sunk for making an agreement with the Bloc, he's the one damaging Canadian unity. I mean, the Bloc was legitimately voted into government just like the Tories were, and Quebecers are not going to like being painted as EVUL separatists. The only illegitimate thing is Harper insisting he has the right to govern despite losing the Confidence of the House.
