The Happiest Gipage on Earth!

I forced Jojo at knife-point to make Disneyland icons for me. All the while I subjected her to strange and bizarrely obsessive Disneyland stories. In other words, she's been having a *fantastic* afternoon!
Yes, I'm a Disneyland nut. But not a Disney nut for some strange reason, if you catch the difference. You won't find stuffed Mickeys or Cinderella plates in my house. I just have a thing for the park in Anaheim.
No, you can't have any of these! They're mine! All mine!!

I really, really, really need to go this holiday season.

Yeah, I'm just a Disney fanatic {grins at thought of Lion King DVD having just been ordered}
Haven't been to the Anaheim park... yet. Disney World twice though ;)

Hee!

I've only ever been to the MGM park when in Florida. (Was just passing through Orlando.)
*sigh* Some of my earliest childhood memories are of going to Disneyland. Heh. I remember thinking that the ride "Adventure Through Inner Space" would really shrink me so I was scared.
*drifts off into nostalgia*

I have early memories of watching Disney... Beauty and the Beast and Oliver and Company :D
MGM's my favourite park I think.
But the Magic Kingdom's a timeless classic.

Young whipper-snapper!

Someone had said that too and so we chose that park instead of the others on our one day there.

I really would love to go some day - if for nothing else than to check out the ride differences from the California park.

When did you go? Did it have the Rock'n'Rollar Coaster there? It was supposed to open a month after we went there the first time, but it was open early! {bg}

Yeah, I'd really love to go to the California park. Hmm... maybe I can do that before/after Vegas (yeah; already planning my graduation trip {g})

Yes... You can go now.

They didn't have it there yet. I went about 10 years ago. :) But I have heard that that coaster is pretty fun! It has music in the headrest of your seat, right? A soundtrack to the ride? They did that to Space Mountain here a while back. Totally adds to the ride, IMO.

Yeah, it's great. It's Aerosmith, and it's quite an exhilarating ride for Disney. It was that and the Tower of Terror that I loved. Oh, and Star Wars {bg} So much fun :)
Heh heh.
Wha'? {looks innocent}

That is a fun one! And if you liked that one - you'd really like the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland. It's a motion simulator that actually goes somewhere. Just about the coolest ride there is. *g*

Oh yeah, I loved that one - I went on it for the first time this year. Is it new? I don't remember seeing it during the visit before last. You've gotta love animatronic Indie *g*
Man, I really want to go back soon. And to Universal Studios (I love the T2 3D show). Do you go there too? I think they still have the deal on where you buy a day (two day?) ticket and get an annual pass for free - how cool is that?! I've got one that's valid until next April... shame I'm 5,500 miles away ;)

Well, it's relatively new. I think it came in the mid-90s.
Yeah. Gotta love that Indy. *g*

Wow! That's a fantastic deal! A lot of the times Sea World will have a similar deal like that in the spring. I haven't been to Universal Studios in years. Before they even got the Jurassic Park ride. I really should go again sometime, but it's on the other side of LA so a pain in the butt drive. :D

I could use the Happiest Place on Earth right now.

Lets you listen to the audio of the rides - and some have home videos of them. :) Go ride Mr. Toad!!

Hee!
Hah! I am Wienerdog! See me steal! Whee!!!!!!!
And...anytime you want to go! Any time!
Oh, and Mr. Toad is currently closed for renovation....
Re: Hee!
BWAH!!
And...anytime you want to go! Any time!
I know! *g* Well, I keep saying that if I get this job, I'm gonna give myself an annual pass to celebrate.
Oh, and Mr. Toad is currently closed for renovation....
Just as long as they aren't taking it away.
*eyes Disney-type suspiciously*
Holy cripes! Space Mountain is closed until when?? I heard they were doing some massive overhauls of some of the rides to get ready for 2005.
Re: Hee!
*keeping fingers crossed for job & subsequent annual pass*
Re: Hee!
Thanks!
Just got an email from my mom. Apparantly some relatives are coming out over Christmas from the midwest...and they want to go to Disneyland. Normally I would say sure! I'll give you the grand tour, introduce you to fastpass and tell you about the single rider deal on Indy. But they want to go on Christmas Day! I've heard that's one of the busiest days of the year! Like - over 70,000 people!
*meeps around in a circle*
I know that anytime they're out here it'll be really, really busy and so they have to go one of those days. But I just don't see how it could be fun when the park's that packed. :P
Re: Hee!
I hate the park when it's really crowded. It's claustrophobic.
Re: Hee!
Re: Hee!
I like spring and fall, when it's cooler and not so busy. Actually, beginning December is usually pretty good. So is beginning of January.
*hugs Disneyland passport*
Re: Hee!
I think I'm gonna go with the Premium passport. Not sure though. I like the thought of having free parking (what is it nowadays? $7?) - although it looks like you can buy a parking pass with the other passports. I guess I don't like the idea of any blackout days (even though I probably wouldn't go on those days anyway). But even at the $225 price tag, if I go 4 times I've got it paid for.

I wish I never had to leave this magical place...
Do you believe it the magic of dreams? That if you wish apon a shooting star with all your heart, dreams really do come true? Then join us on a journey...
::sings::
Believe! There's magic in the stars...

Hee! Thanks! Jojo's hamster has now been returned unharmed.
Believe! There's magic in the stars...
That's to the fireworks show, right? Have never actually seen that...
no subject
Yep. One of my favourite things to see at Disneyland ::sigh::
Have never actually seen that...
Michelle, Michelle! That's just unacceptable ;) You have to see it! But keep in mind that if you go during the Christmas hols I think they have a different version of the show. So you'll have to go again in the summer :)

*hangs head in shame*
I've seen Fantasmic - does that count?

Yeah, I think you're right. They have a whole Christmas deal that ends with it snowing on Main Street. :)

Woo!
My family used to go there every year, and it is an awesome place to be for the New Year!
I bet! I've never braved Disneyland during the two weeks of Christmas/New Years. Heard the place is *packed* during that time!
Peter Pan icon is pretty.
Jojo done good!

Thanks! *huggles icons*
I love Disneyland too.
There's just something about it! :)
It's my absolute most favorite place in SoCal (unless it's attending a concert at the Hollywood Bowl)
Oh yeah! Boy, that's something I haven't done in probably about 10 years. Of course it was easier to go when I actually lived up there.

I really do have it bad. I could probably give a guided tour of the place - I know so much about it.

That one is pretty, isn't it? :)
