Question: What time of the day does the Queen usually air her Christmas speech?

EDIT: It's only half eleven, I'm sure some will be awake.
Or am I forgetting that I'm not necessarily normal? XD

Nobody I know watches the Queen's speech. Last year's Xmas top ten is at the bottom of this article and you may notice that while Eastenders and Doctor Who top it, the Queen doesn't even get a look in.
The whole point of the royals is that we ignore them and other countries regard them as interesting/a tourist attraction.

I think (i.e. don’t quote me) that it’s broadcast at around 3pm.
I’ve the Christmas Radio Times somewhere, so I could check it, but I’m too lazy to go and find it ...

Hello!
My flatmate assures me that the Queen's speech is on 3-3.10pm. Don't ask me how she knows.
Oh, it's only 10 minutes long? I think I'm slightly disappointed. Not sure what I was expecting though.

Apparently so. I have never seen it, though.

Queenie speaks from 1500 - 1510. Or 1515 in some cases. Depends if she's got a lot of stuff to apologise for. Like the whole Strictly Come Dancing voting debacle, scrapping a pointless 2.5% off VAT, the state of the economy, and Gordon Brown in general.
This is broadcast on BBC One and BBC radio at the same time.
Channel 4, on the other hand, have "The Alternative Christmas Speech" where someone equally or more famous, and infinitely more popular gives a speech, the content of which I have never had chance to find out. My family, whilst not being Royalists of any shape or form, feel it is bordering on sacriligious to watch anything else.
Either that, or we're too busy getting drunk to care / remember. It's also infinitely preferable.

TotP - something outdated, irrelevant and clung to like a deflating beacon of a time when things were much better. And lip synched.
Shark's Tale - so-so movie with a few points, good for amusement but leaves you feeling like you've seen it all before.
If that doesn't sum up the monarchy then I don't know what does...

Oh, and apparently she addresses "the nation and the Commonwealth" so I guess they inflict this on Canada and Australia as well.

That’s if Rudd doesn’t somehow manage to turn the place into a republic inside the next eight days!

Oh right! They've got to get in on it too!

I'm not sure how this helps you, though.

*cracks whip* Back in there! I've sort of gone off the rails. The Doctor and Rose have veered off into a conversation about bunny slippers and peeing. Basically the muse is simply pointing and laughing.

The speech is usually followed by the other great British institution; the Christmas edition of Eastenders *g*
