One time in London I had an appointment to meet someone in "The Pavement Cafe."

I had this mental image of cafe tables in the middle of the street, waiters calmly taking orders as traffic swerved around, because to me pavement=road.

LOL - I had a problem with 'parkways'.

I had to check with my Texan mate:
Me: "So you park on driveways and drive on parkways?"
Her: "Yup."
Me: "Oooo-kay."

I also remember joining in the 'jumper vs. sweater' debate on the SamandJack Yahell group and losing the will to live *g*
