Turns out they're only raising my rent $20 instead of $100 a month. Given that I'm not getting any kind of raise this year, I can't tell you how much this had been depressing me for the past month. Feels like a weight has been lifted.

But the worry has been a good thing since it made me start really paying attention to what I'm spending. Quicken is a lovely thing.

Unless your complex had a waiting list for incoming residents, I'm not surprised they cut back on the rate hike. Better to have a small rise than lose the income entirely when people have to move out.

Yeah, no kidding. With people losing their jobs left and right and salaries being cut and capped, now's not the time for giant rate increases.

Phew! I'm glad to hear your rent isn't going up by $100! That was such a steep increase I was shocked, so I can only imagine how much you were. Does that mean your Disneyland pass gets to stick around for another year? ;)

It had been seriously bumming me out. I mean, I could manage it, but... Yeah.

And I think I might get my pass back, yeah. :D But I might wait until the fall. I was just there so I don't need to go this spring again, really. And I refuse to go in the summer.
