A quick Google maps search in my vague area finds other towns named Burpham, West Wittering, Gundleton, Nether Wallop, Middle Wallop, Over Wallop, Goatacre, Grittenham, Upper Upham, Bagendon, Fossil Bridge, Stow-on-the-Wold and Coombe Dingle.

BERWICK UPON TWEED IS PRETTY DAMN NORMAL.

I'm making my point that B-u-T is a perfectly normal name! ;-)

And there are a whole bunch of Toad Halls in both the UK and the US. If you search "Tardis" there are a bunch of places named that as well, including the Queen Tardis Inn, in Devon.
