Sorry, no.

So my DVD drive went out this week. (The gears or something were probably shot since it would no longer open or close.) So I bought a new DVD drive. DVD drives almost always come bundled with Nero software, right? So I installed it since it's a newer version than what I got with my last DVD drive.

Come to find out that if I want the features I had on my old version, they want me to buy add-on packages. The old version that worked perfectly fine. MEH. Now I just have to find the disk for my old version...

This is why I make sure I have all my old disks and installer. I had downloaded a copy of iMovieHD when it was available. Then Apple took it down when they put out the new iLife. Good thing I kept it cause I find my brother doesn't like the iMove 08 he's got and isn't interested in buying the new software.

I think he owes me. :)

I hate it when newer versions are useless.

There's so much of OS X 10.5 that lost it's functionality from 10.4. WTF were they thinking of!xxx

I stopped using Nero years ago because of the problems it causes with VSS and their filter drivers suck. I prefer ImgBurn or the cmd line utilities found in the W2K3 Resource kit (DVDBurn/CDBurn)

I think I'm going to check those out. I discovered I no longer have the serial # for the old Nero disk. BAH.

Be careful with the older version of Nero - I encountered this when I had to install a new DVD drive, because my old one died a horrible, painful death (and this was on my PC): each version of Nero is bundled specific to the DVD drive.

New DVD Drive was a newer drive than the old one, and was a spare drive a friend had, and when I went to use Nero, it refused to work because it wasn't the DVD drive that the program came with.

Go OEM versions :p

Thanks for the advice. :) Stupid Nero!

DON'T WORRY, JUST STAY VERY, VERY CALM AND TRY NOT TO MAKE ANY SUDDEN MOVEMENTS.
