I have made purchases! :D
  • The Baby Owner's Manual. My brother will probably love this. :D

  • Baby Care Timer. I'd never think of something like this, but apparently new parents love it.

  • Disney lullaby cd. Awwww.

  • Baby Mickey with personalized blanket. Indoctrination! And it's actually "Disney Parks" merchandise, which if you know me, you know I really don't care about Mickey or Minnie or Pooh - it's Disneyland itself I'm nuts about. (There are attraction toys! Presents for when he gets older!)

Well, that should do it. For this month. :D

I got my sister in law the baby owners manual when my niece was born! :D

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 07:24 pm (UTC)(link)
HEE! It looks pretty funny.

[identity profile] roxyk630.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 07:28 pm (UTC)(link)
It's absolutely HYSTERICAL. Set up like a technical manual/set of instructions.

I think it even has a trouble shooting guide. ;)

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 07:31 pm (UTC)(link)
My brother will love that so much! :D

Awwww!!!!!

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 08:02 pm (UTC)(link)
:D

Its so cute!!!
The baby timer thingy sounds awesome and stuff.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
It does sound pretty neat!

[identity profile] ivydoor.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
....

I could've REALLY used that timer when I was dealing with a newborn and a 14 month old. That's freaking brilliant. Seriously.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 08:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Woo! Another parent that likes it! My non-parent brain was skeptical about it at first.

[identity profile] ivydoor.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Dude, I was a certifiable zombie between February of '01 until about the end of '05. I don't think I was able to sleep 8 hours straight until at they were at least 4 & 5. After a while, you just don't know where you are or what you're doing, nevermind what you did five minutes ago.

It may not be the cure for baby-brain, but it will go a long way to keeping their sanity.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Sounds good to me!

[identity profile] goldy-dollar.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Awww. The Mickey blanket is adorable. :)

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I thought so too! It's really the blanket that sold it for me. :)

[identity profile] goldy-dollar.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Also, the description of parenting on the timer thingy is making me seriously question the sanity of anyone who willingly does this to themselves.

But you can't keep your eyes open without toothpicks, and the only thing which will keep you awake is watching The Lord of the Rings (extended version, cast commentary on, naturally).

DEAR GOD.

DEAR GOD.

BWAH!!

[identity profile] janetmaca.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 09:14 pm (UTC)(link)
*snorts* You're a student, I would have thought you'd get it.

[identity profile] goldy-dollar.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
But... I like... what I'm studying.

Hmm. There could be something to this.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 09:18 pm (UTC)(link)
HEY! Did you know there's going to be a supreme court in the UK? I heard an article on the news this morning about it.

OMG EXCITING

[identity profile] goldy-dollar.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
But what will the House of Lords do?!!

OF ALL THE TIMES FOR OPAL TO LOSE INTERNET ACCESS...!

Re: OMG EXCITING

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I DON'T KNOW! DRINK LOTS OF TEA TO PASS THE TIME?

AND DAMN THAT INTERNET ACCESS!

Re: OMG EXCITING

[identity profile] goldy-dollar.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
While saying "pip, pip" and "I say!" a lot? American television informs me that this is how anyone over the age of 60 in Britain spends their time. *nods*

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
And talk about their expeditions in Africa!

[identity profile] janetmaca.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm, maybe. :D

[identity profile] anotokino.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
The Baby Owner's Manual. My brother will probably love this. :D
Omg, I have the same manual only mine's for cats. Those are both hilarious.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-07-17 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
How funny! Someone had a good idea with these. :D

[identity profile] theyellow-daisy.livejournal.com 2009-07-18 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
You're a great aunt already spoiling this baby!

The Thinkgeek stuff looks great, but I love the Mickey plush, and the fact that the blanket can be personalized. I've seen something similar in the park, but this looks much better :)

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-07-18 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
I love that Mickey thing too! I realized that I was picking things for the parents, but not really getting anything for *him*.
