It was too hot to sleep last night. Woe. I think I got about 3 hours sleep. *is still hot*
Somewhere on my flist someone was talking about RTD moving to LA to write. (One of those "I should comment on this...OOH SHINY!" moments. I have those a lot.) And they also reminded me that back in March, we found out that Julie Gardner was moving to LA to be in charge of scripted projects at BBCA. *eyes them both* You two are up to something, aren't you?
The heat? Whhhhhhhhhhhhy?
I'm sure I had another point, but the heat killed it. [insert D/R squee here]
ETA: Oh, in what little sleep I did get last night, I dreamed my cherry tomato plant suddenly started producing 5 pound tomatoes. LOTS of them. It actually got a bit scary.
I never thought I'd say this but... can we borrow some of y'all's hot? My tomatoes are *never* going to come ripe if we keep having such cool weather here. IT'S JULY AND IT'S ONLY 62ยบ WTF.
I feel your pain! One of my aunt's dogs kept trying to get into bed with me last night, so I was up for many hours going, "BOOMER, NO. GET OFF. NOOOOOO."
He was determined. CLEARLY THIS IS THE SAME.
And oooh. Bullet two is interesting. Clearly you have to go find them! I'm still curious to know whether the wall licking was in the Tooth and Claw script or whether DT did that on his own. YOU CAN CHECK FOR ME. :D

BWAH! Well, if you couldn't sleep...

*salutes* I'm sure I could hunt him down and ask him. Although it might be a problem if I need to tackle him.
By the way the world works, I know I'm going to regret saying this, but...I wish it was that hot where I'm at. It's 20 celcius. I'm trying to defy the weather by wearing shorts anyway but it's just so cold for July. And I live amidst the Great Lakes, where it's notoriously hot and humid in the summer. The hell mother nature?
Please don't complain about the heat! I'm going to be in your state one week from today (almost exactly actually only an hour off) and wish not to melt whilst there. If you could take care of that for me, I'd greatly appreciate it. Ta!

I so know the feeling. It's so hot right now! And to think there's no escaping at all.
And they also reminded me that back in March, we found out that Julie Gardner was moving to LA to be in charge of scripted projects at BBCA.
I think Jane Tranter (another BBC important person - the heat... I can't remember exact position) is also here in LA, along with Julie Gardner.
And yes, I'm terribly curious to see what - if anything - Julie and RTD are up to. It's one thing to have just ONE person come to LA but to have them both coming over here... that raises the suspicions.
Today's suppose to be the hottest day but sadly I don't think there's much of a change this week. Have to check the 7 day forecast though.
I can't really think of anything that's originally a BBCA program. I'm guessing they're going to try and tap into that with Julie and possibly RTD in hopes that they gain more viewers through it.
I know they went through a couple of key changes a few years back and this is probably just another addition for them to become more of an established network?
But yeah, a lot of them seem to be moving here at roughly the same time.
BBC-A hasn't done original stuff; it's only now that they're starting to talk about it. I'd posited that was what was going on when we found out months ago that Julie Gardner was going over to LA to work for BBC Worldwide, RTD admitted a few times he was "going to the States to write for a bit" [and recently we found out it was more than that, as "all his furniture" was being moved and he's in LA, too], & then we found out that Jane Trantor had been transferred to be heading up BBC-Worldwide out of LA [she'd been head of BBC Drama].
So, yeah, now it looks like they're up to doing some "original" material for BBC Worldwide, which shall be very interesting to see how it pans out.
You need to stalk casually bump into RTD, of course, and ask what's up. :)
Try living in Texas. After 12 years, I'm finally understanding that whole "70F degrees is a cold front" mentality. We're actually having a bit of a cold front right now. Our high for the day is expected to be 96*F with a(n extremely slight) possibility of thunderstorms.

But it's hot even here. *sob*
Now all you need is a fic about the Doctor and Rose vs. The Giant Killer Tomatoes. It'd be a hit!
