I know I've expressed indifference, but on thing that does irk me? The TARDIS! I love that distressed, aged look to the outside. Something that looks like it's seen battles, but still remains awesome. And let's face it. Most the time the TARDIS is supposed to just stand around and look pretty.

Not in S5! Why? Why?? What did the TARDIS ever do to you? Yes, I know it's supposed to be copying One's TARDIS, but...it looks like a toy! And did Eleven slap a skaterboi decal on you?? MY BABY!!

Nostalgia and classic Who references (and general love) are one thing, but... Are they going to have aluminum foil and bubble wrap aliens too?

ETA: Maybe the sticker says "no public restrooms." XD

I didn't know until I read about it (yeah, I'm a big geek) that One's TARDIS had a faded St. John's Ambulance logo on the right-hand door. Moff's apparently bowing to the Old Skuul Who big-time here.

I still think it looks like a toy; way too shiny and bright and perfect. (Though I suspect the blue will be less bright after being filmed with the HD cameras, but I may be wrong on that. Changing the TARDIS Blue(tm) is .... well ... yeah. Weird.

In my opinion, as a member of the internets, that looks shopped. Is Matt Smith a small guy? Because the TARDIS looks gigantic next to him.

I'm inclined to agree because if you look at the person standing BEHIND the TARDIS they're bigger than Matt Smith.

That's a really CRAP Photoshop Job. The BBC should hire me for things like that. SERIOUSLY. *headdesk* It's a simple matter of proportion. Matt Smith is also WAY too close to that Doorknob (which is HUGE-the size of his HEAD) to be far away, beyond that there's a rather sharp clarity between him and the TARDIS. If you look at the left corner of the TARDIS, it's blurry and it focuses back. That tells me that the photographer focused their lens on the center (i.e. POLICE BOX) portion of the box. With where they've placed Matt Smith? He would be in focus BUT the portions of him to the left would blur a bit due to the lens focus. He's too IN FOCUS to be IN the picture. That doesn't tend to happen in photography. Some of those edges would blur and fade away do to the lenses (See the line between the guy's puffer jacket and the TARDIS in the background? There's a straight line but it's not CLEAR, there's a bit of blur to it).

Also, if you look to the left, there's a thin white line showing on his trousers and a bit of a blue line around the left side of his hair.

Beyond that, the rock in front of him is blurred, implying he's standing further back but they neglected to pay attention to the background and any sort of foreshortening. (Door handle on the TARDIS IS THE SIZE OF HIS HEAD *headdesk*)

It's totally shopped, badly. And that is my professional opinion. (Sorry! I got carried away.)

Original Recipe TARDIS is somehow *handwaves* pulled thru the Void to be with TenII/Rose. Eleven has to travel back and steal the TARDIS when she was shiny new from One, intending at some future point to return her before One ever realizes she's missing.

This is the only thing that will resign me to Lego!TARDIS. The TARDIS is my favorite character, and she certainly doesn't need a facelift.

I've mentioned this elsewhere, and some discussions with leighleighla and docchucktaylor have led me to think that the bizarre color might be the result of them repainting for some effect they want to do with regrading the color in the scene... note the really obnoxious reds that the females in the pictures have either as a primary clothing object or in makeup and accessories.
