I've been watching the Marple series with Geraldine McEwan (and have been enjoying it), but it's funny just how much you can play British actor bingo in every episode. Therefore, realizing there are only a total of 50 actors across the pond, I have decided to move to the UK where I will be promptly given acting gigs for the rest of my life. (I hereby submit my high school play acting experience.)
I plan on fully enjoying the milk trucks, for they are adorable.

Careful now. There might be a bomb on that milk truck. ;)

Now, why are they called milk floats... actually, I have no idea - I must find out!
They are weird things - run on batteries so nice & quiet (good for the eraly morning) but slooooow. We still have doorstep deliveries but thanks to the supermarkets' domination of the WORLD, the milkmen (milkpersons sound wrong... in fact our milkie was a woman.. when she would call around for the money at the end of the week, she used to bang on the door and yell 'MILKMAN!' LOL, I digress) are a dying breed.
Also, as a further digression, when I was at college (in the 80's so not exactly in the mists of time, hehe) in Edinburgh I used to see one of the last milk floats pulled by a horse. So cool to see Trigger still on his round, holding up the traffic *g*
He was a character; the kids loved him
*goes all nostalgic*
**sorry had to delete & repost comment so that it actually made sense *rolls eyes*

And I would totally approve of you moving to England. Especially if you became an actress, then eventually you'd be in Doctor Who! :D

I didn't watch Children of Earth, but my husband did. I walked through the room during one of Peter Capaldi's scenes and had to stop for a minute to figure out why he looked so familiar. No, sadly, I didn't recognize him from Doctor Who. He was geeky young man who worked for the oil company in "Local Hero". I love that movie.
Have you ever watched "Father Ted"? Rattus Aerius has. A milk float features prominently in one of the episodes. It's very suspenseful, but I don't want to spoil it for you.
