Randomly...

I've seen several people posting about the Disney buyout of Marvel, and thought I'd pass this along. I found it pretty interesting. It's written from the Disney side of things, specifically focusing on theme parks.

The answer? Probably not much. Iger has said that Disney will honor existing Marvel contracts, and Universal's original filings indicate it has a long-term lock on using the Marvel characters in theme park attractions.

THIS IS MUCH MORE REASSURING.

I'd been wondering how that would all be handled. This seems to make sense.

Considering how long I was in the C-book industry (retail wise). Marvel always did well with sales and marketing, as has Disney. I can't/couldn't imagine much changing... but there's this latent fear...

There are some pretty shrewd people involved. I doubt they'd be screwing with the asset they just bought for billions.

Oh, Marvel! From the frying pan into the fire.
This could be a sign of the apocalypse...
