How great would it have been if "Face" in the new A-Team movie would have been a woman? IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SUPER GREAT! Sadly, it's a dude.
I'm being entertained by How I Met Your Mother. I'm about mid-way through S1. So far it's in the "like" category for me rather than the "love" category. 1) I'm finding I really could care less who Ted (the guy explaining "how I met your mother") winds up with, 2)Marshall and Lily are adorable, and 3) Barney/Robin cracks me up. Sadly, this first season seems to be a lot of Ted/Robin, which is like trying to squish a square peg in a round hole. Yeah, that's supposed to be the point, and the audience already knows they don't wind up together, but it's still kind of painful to watch. Ted with anyone is kind of painful to watch. Actually, they could kick Ted off the show, and I'd totally watch the other four. They're that interesting.
I finished Chuck. I was laughing at the very end of the last episode. It was obvious that Chuck would be re-computerized. Of course, now he's like Neo from the Matrix. MWAH!! It's so cheesy, but I still think I'll watch it when it comes back in March. Oh, and Casey (Adam Baldwin) really is my favorite character. He's got great comedic timing. :D
We're supposed to have a heat wave this week, including a high fire alert. BLEH.
I also remember Dirk Benedict's comment back in the day that if anyone were to ever do a movie version of either BSG or The A-Team (I think it was the latter), they'd have to cast a woman because no other man could be as pretty as him. *snerk*
So they're not casting a woman? Who are they casting?

Oh figures.

And ugh, Ted/Robin. My biggest complaint about the show is how long they pushed that. It's kind of icky.
It really really is. I'm at a point where Robin supposedly starts to like Ted again, and I'm like "WHY??" I can understand why Ted's in love with Robin (or *thinks* he's in love with Robin) - he's freakishly obsessed with getting married and projects that onto her. But I don't get the Robin end of things right now. Ted's *nice*, but...
All I really want to do is watch Lily & Marshall and Barney & Robin be awesome together. I think of Ted more as the narrator of their antics rather of his own antics.
I think part of why I like season 2 so much is the Robin/Ted thing isn't as "WE ARE MEANT TO BE TOGETHER, REALLY!" as it is in season 1, which is ironic, considering how things are in that season.
Also, season 4 is quite awesome in its repeated verbal assertion that Ted is a douche.
I'm trying to catch up with HIMYM, as well and I'm really liking it. Took me a while to get to like the characters but now I think they're all great. But it is quite ridiculous how they build up to Ted/Robin when we know from the start they're not going to end up together. And Ted is very wrong for her.
So I think I am joining the Barney/Robin shipping. Yay :D
And I completely agree about Ted. I like him well enough, but I wouldn't really care if he left.

Oh man, Casey is AMAZING. That episode where he hits the high C? And, like, EVERYTHING ELSE HE DOES? Seriously, my chuck tag is pretty much solid Casey appreciation. :)
I think one of my favorite moments is when the General looks at his picture of Regan and says something like "Major, the 80s are over." And he makes this little whining noise. I laughed out loud. XD
I want you to know that I had an odd moment for a minute there where you were talking about how cool it would be if "Face" was a woman, and I recognized your sn immediately thought of the Face of Boe, and got very confused, but at the same time realized it would probably solve the answer to the question you posed about how the Face of Boe gave birth. And then I realized you were talking about something completely different, and my brain broke a little because now I'm imagining Jack as part of the A-Team.

Especially considering what a sexist jackass he was about the recasting of Starbuck as a woman in the new Galactica. It would have been great to watch his head explode had they done it to another of his characters.
YES! That would have made it all worth it! And then he would have written a pissy article, blaming women for his lack of acting work, and we could have laughed at him some more.
I don't pay much attention to celebrities so it's rare I have anything to say about them, but Dirk Benedict can go... Just go.

I didn't *hate* Ted/Robin, but I was definitely tapping my foot and wondering when it would be over so we could get more Barney/Robin. XD
