  1. I've been going through Wire in the Blood lately. I'm now convinced that the UK is completely full of serial killers. :D I mean, I'm enjoying it and all, but every other day - psychotic serial killers! IF YOU LIVE IN THE UK, NEVER WALK ALONE. OR...ANSWER THE DOOR. OR DRIVE. OR STAND IN AN OPEN SPACE. SRSLY. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE. Handy that they pop up one at a time, though. (Side note - so far I like Alex okay, but she's no Carol. However, I don't miss Carol as much as I thought I was going to.)

  2. Two weeks until Christmas! O_O I'm glad I already have my shopping done, because it always seems to come up fast for some reason.

  3. I've got my eye on a laptop. Now begins the process of thinking about it for a while. Then going over the specs. Then thinking about it. Then looking at it again. Then really thinking about it...

  4. I was planning on getting my hair cut, but I've been so dizzy today. Hasn't happened like this in a while. BLEH. But funny thing - I kept veering sideways on my treadmill last night. XD

ETA: Of course part of that could have come from the swervey camera motions of LotR I was watching.

    Sam: *falls down the stairs*
Me: SHIT! *GRABS THE ARMS ON THE TREADMILL*

1. I will... bear that in mind.

OMG MICHELLE I WALK HOME ALONE EVERY SUNDAY AFTER ASTROSOC AT ELEVEN.

2. I... really need to start that soon.

3. BWAH. You're so sensible.

4. *Petpetpet* Hope you are feeling less dizzy soon!

OMG!!!!!

I... really need to start that soon.

That was me last year. :D

BWAH. You're so sensible.

:D I hate being in debt. I'd much rather buy something outright than pay it off over time if I can help it.

*Petpetpet* Hope you are feeling less dizzy soon!

Thanks. :) I'm not sure why it started up again. It's been a few months since I've felt like this.

Alex grew on me, but I still miss Carol, and the Carol/Tony dynamic. The books that the show is based off of are really good too, if you need something to read. The first one is called The Mermaids Singing, they're by Val McDermid.

The Carol/Tony dynamic is really great. I wouldn't say that I ship them since I don't really care about seeing them in a romantic relationship, but how they play off each other is amazing.

I can’t believe Christmas is so close! And it’s only three weeks till 2010.

Your process for buying a laptop sounds a lot like mine. (A lot like my process for buying anything, really.) I’ve been thinking about replacing my PowerBook since I moved up to South Carolina, two years ago. Of course, it helps that the laptop I really want doesn’t exist.

I hope you feel better soon. Till then, try not to hurt yourself on the treadmill, okay?

I'm sure I could find a laptop I'd love to pieces, but I want it for $1K. :D

Thanks. :)

1. Does it involve police abuses of power and probably Charter violations? I mean, if the UK had a Charter, which it... does not.

2. You miss the fun of elbowing little old ladies out of the way on the 23. Pfft.

3. SHINY. :D :D DOOOO IT.

4. I feel like this one requires petting. *PETS*

Okay, here's the weird thing. I've no idea how things really are over there, but some stuff has made me blink. Like whenever they get a warrant to search a place, they SHOW UP WITH AN ENTIRE SWAT TEAM AND BREAK DOWN THE DOOR AND STORM THE PLACE. (The action required the use of caps.) And other times they yank people off the street and keep them locked up for a while, for a few questions. They're very into yanking and storming.

Been there, done that.

3. SHINY. :D :D DOOOO IT.

I want to! But apparently the one I want is a bit scarce at the moment.

Thanks. :)

BWAH!

Also: *FROWNS*

I do not disbelieve this about the UK in an odd way. *wonders what a cop show in Canada would be like*

I want to! But apparently the one I want is a bit scarce at the moment.

Ooh! What are you eyeing?

I'm looking at a Sony VAIO. It seems to have generally good ratings from everywhere, and is even Blu-Ray compatible.

I was contemplating looking at laptops in the next year or so. Then my power cord died and shorted out the power supply and motherboard on my computer. Ugh. It looks like I am not going to be thinking about it long. Coming to you from an iPod Touch and borrowed somputers just won't cut it for me. *sigh*

You are the third person to mention dizziness/vertigo to me today. I suffered a bit last month, but that was from fluid in my ear and was helped by continued doses of Advil Cold and Sinus. I wish they could fix yours so easily.

Ugh, is right! That sucks.

Me too. Although it does seem to be better today. I think it might have been part of a head cold, which didn't used to affect me like this, but now...
