It's a bad start if I'm already doing memes...
Ask me one fandom-related question in the comments. This can be fandom specific, general, or about fandom/lj stuff/fic writing/etc. in general. Favorite character, favorite moment, unpopular opinion, something about a fic of mine... whatever. Wackiness encouraged.
Also, I'm secretly using an icon from EoTII - just you can't see it. For spoiler reasons. *nods*

I am abusing my privileges and asking more than one question because I'm bored
-What's the one fic you really want to see that no one has done yet?
-Is Ten II/Rose your preferred ending for Doctor/Rose? Or does a part of you wish RTD had done something else with them?
Re: I am abusing my privileges and asking more than one question because I'm bored
Boy, I have different favorites for different reasons. But I guess I'd say "Inertia" simply because it was the first fic I wrote that actually had a long-ish plot. I'd only done short fics before.
-What's the one fic you really want to see that no one has done yet?
I don't know if I have anything specific in mind, but I've got a kink for jealous/possessive Ten. :D (Or TenII. Whichever.)
-Is Ten II/Rose your preferred ending for Doctor/Rose? Or does a part of you wish RTD had done something else with them?
At first I was angry that he didn't let them be together and simply pick up the following series after Rose's death. (After living her life with him.) But now I honestly love the Ten II/Rose ending. It's the perfect fannish present!

Aww, I love how much you seem to adore them. :D Makes me kind of love them, too.
Re: I am abusing my privileges and asking more than one question because I'm bored
And Ten can go crazy and Eleven can have a rectangle head and have a messed up relationship with River Song, and it doesn't matter because Rose's Doctor never has to deal with that crap.

What alt!universe do you think/wish Rose is in? i.e. is it a universe from another show/movie/book? Who does she hang out with, other than Ten II?
no subject
Ooh, interesting! I honestly have never given this any thought before. Hmmm. In my mind I don't think I've got any other universes there with them.
And Rose has a few aquaintences from Torchwood. She didn't spend much time on a social life during the time she was getting back to the Doctor, and since coming back with Ten II, she's been pretty focused on him. (As they do.) But yeah - a few people she goes to pubs with every once in a while after dragging her away from work.

Which were/are you sadder about: The end of SG1, or Ten's departure?

I've felt for a while that it was time for DT to go, but yet it gutted me. (Yes, yes, emotional manipulation was set on high - it didn't matter.)

1. SG-1 - because Jack O'Neill and the Doctor would be FUNNY. Also, the Doctor could yell at them for their "doing it wrong" time travel.
2. Red Dwarf - Mwah.
Okay, I seriously can't think of any more at the moment. XD

If RTD emailed you tomorrow and was like "I WOULD LIKE YOU TO WRITE A SPIN OFF BOOK TO BE PUBLISHED" what would your reaction be?
Isn't Fourteen AWESOME and TOTALLY CANON?
Don't you agree that Frances writes TOO MUCH ANGST?
What historical period would you have liked to see the Doctor and Rose visit?

You'd think it'd be banana, but it's pumpkin.

"OMG, WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO GET OPAL TO WRITE THE PLOT??? *FLAILS*"
Isn't Fourteen AWESOME and TOTALLY CANON?
Fourteen is awesome!!

Well, EoTII really wasn't angsty enough, so you can't blame her.
What historical period would you have liked to see the Doctor and Rose visit?
Anything that would get Rose into an outfit where the Doctor would have to be scraped off the floor. *is shallow*

A CO-WRITE CREDIT. XD PLUS ROYALTIES.
Fourteen is awesome!!
YOU AVOIDED THE SECOND HALF OF MY QUESTION. DON'T THINK I DIDN'T NOTICE.

I KNOW. IF THERE WAS ONE THING EOT NEEDED MORE OF, IT'S ANGST.

BWAH. That doesn't rule too much out, does it? I DON'T THINK HE'S FUSSY WHEN IT COMES TO ROSE.

I am pretty easy, ngl. Although you would have to deal with my panicking! XD

WHO LET YOU HAVE OPINIONS OF YOUR OWN? THIS IS NOT ON.

But an actual fiend... I'm thinking Sam. She's already practically got the smarts, and she knows how to deal with guys who act like children. XD

But Sam would be TOTALLY AWESOME as a Time Lord.

And also to see him on Atlantis. Rose and him being there would be so great.
So, another question then. Hmmmm, what's your opinion about regeneration? After 40 years of "I'm the same man", RTD kind of shook that up in Eot I and II, with Ten not wanting to die and him complaining about another man sauntering off. So, did Ten die, in your opinion (thank god for Ten II, that's all I have to say) and was replaced by another man, Eleven? Or is he same man?

That would be pretty cool! And the Stargate system would be a great way to get around if they didn't have a TARDIS.

In my mind it's not really an "either or" situation when it comes to the Doctor. It's not "he's either the exact same man, or he's a completely different man." It's a combination of the two. At his core, the Doctor is the Doctor - he won't suddenly turn evil or start kicking puppies for laughs. He'll love traveling and love his TARDIS. But each incarnation is completely new, with a whole new personality to go with it.
I imagine it sort of like the same person seeing life through different lenses. One lens is scratched up by a war and so he's generally a bit cranky. One lens is rose-colored and so he's generally a jackrabbit on crack. And so on. :D

Ooops, sorry.
the alt!verse where Rose and Ten II are living is the one where Stargate is taking place. Imagine Ten II realizing that there's a species as advanced as the Time Lords, in the Ancients. Just to see his face. And also to see him on Atlantis. Rose and him being there would be so great.
OMG!!!!!
This needs to be written immediately.
*looks around desperatly for some to write it*

I hope someone will write this, someday. I have always liked Stargate. Not love, love because I always thought that Stargate was all about adventures, saving the world with a few funny lines here and there and therefore, that it lacked in personal feelings. But I think that the new Who series is going that way. I always felt a lack of feelings with Moffat's writing. Fear, yes, emotions, love, crying fits, no. So I'll probably consider the RTD era as the one I love, and the Moffat era as the equivalent of the Stargate series.

And, really, does the Doctor actually hate cats or just that one?
no subject
For me it's not incarnation-specific, but rather event-specific that made him fall for her. She came into his life right when he needed someone the most, and was the type of person who could break down his aloof Doctor barrier (no matter which incarnation).
So I could see it with other incarnations as well if they'd been the one to come out of the Time War.
Before the Time War - I think it might have happened, but I also think the Doctor would have found it so much easier to keep her at arm's length and be pals. Nine tried to do that and failed, a lot having to do with where he was at in his life (IMO).
And, really, does the Doctor actually hate cats or just that one?
Just that one. XD

2. Who would you have wanted for Eleven?
3. Why do you think Martha and Mickey ended up together?
no subject
I kind of think that if she was going to remember, she would have done it already.
2. Who would you have wanted for Eleven?
Eddie Izzard. (And I'm not being funny. See "The Riches" for legit acting abilities.)
3. Why do you think Martha and Mickey ended up together?
First about Tom: Martha mentioned he was off in Africa, so I think distance ended up splitting them apart. They were on different paths of life and it was a mutual, if bittersweet, breakup. But after being with the Doctor, Martha's not willing to simply settle for a lot of things.
Mickey and Martha both started working for Torchwood after Journey's End and they both found a friend in each other. Someone who knew exactly how to relate to everything they'd been through. And since sex is a requirement in Torchwood... ;)
However, I'm really open to pretty much any interpretation of how they got together.
