"You... you anteater!"
Returning shows I'm interested in:
I know I shouldn't even bother about trying to figure out when Torchwood will air again. Scheduling information is classified by the BBC. "SURPRISE! It was on last night! Har!"
And speaking of which, was 8x08 of Spooks (aired just before Christmas) the last episode of the series? I have no idea. Again, one of those secret BBC things we're not meant to know about.
Oh! And since I'm on BBC programs, remind me to never go wandering around looking at comments on articles about Top Gear. Apparently there are many in the UK who think that Top Gear has become a TRAVESTY since it's all about the stunts and not a Serious Car Show. Um, the only thing that started me watching was because it wasn't a Serious Car Show. It's not that they don't know what they're talking about when it comes to cars, but I like them because they're sort of the UK version of Mythbusters. Except more sarcastic. And it's about cars.
- Chuck: January 10
- Leverage: January 13
- 24: January 17
- Lost: February 2

However, the complaints lately are more about how over the top ridiculous it's become the last couple of seasons. And I can see the point. Every now and then I'm watching it lately and it's TOO ridiculous or so OBVIOUSLY set up (I know most of it is planned, but they used to better at hiding it). Does that make any sense?

Same here! :D

Is that what most people are complaining about? I haven't actually watched the latest. Netflix just came out with Series 10 a couple of weeks ago (with 11 and 12 coming out next week.) So that and the Bolivia Special is all I've watched.

Yes, that Spooks was the last of that series.
And Top Gear is better as it is now. I like for the same reason you do. The way I explain it to folks is, "Its' a car show but that's not why I watch it. I watch it for the way the hosts interact with each other and the stupid things they do."
And thanks to you I got to watch the season finale when it actually aired! Thank you! *mwah*no subject
*GRABBY HANDS*

Well... Hell. Was it just me or did that series go by quick? It seems like it just barely got going.

And thanks to you I got to watch the season finale when it actually aired! Thank you! *mwah*:D This is exactly why I watch. I first heard about it because David Tennant was on it, but honestly I find the celebrity segments the most boring thing about it (I've fast forwarded a few). It's all about the guys.

I didn't actually watch it. I made the mistake two years ago of making my mother suffer through Robin Hood with me and she's since become obessed with Richard Armitage. So, since I have better contacts, I sometimes had to get Spooks for her. She kept me updated.
I started watching Top Gear the season Billie did her lap. (Which David apparently has watched and had issues with ever since!) I fell for it right away. Because of the guys. I've bought the Top Gear calendar for the past two years. I got one of the books that have some of the most ridiculous things in it that have nothing to do with cars!
Me, I'll be waiting on Being Human, Secret Diary and Ashes to Ashes to return on the otherside the pond. And I'm sticking with Lost purely because it's the last season. But will be very put out is Juliet is alive. I've never liked her, let alone her with Sawyer.

And I'm happy this is Lost's last season. It really needs to end already.

*Pets Top Gear* I've not been keeping up with it really, but it's just a lot of fun. I would totally love that job! XD I mean, I get some of the complaints because as funny as Clarkson is... his politics make me twitch, but complaining that it's not serious enough? It was serious a while ago and guess what? NOBODY WATCHED IT.

Because you can look forward to it! And not be constantly wondering about it!

I've no idea what his politics are. (If they mention them on the show, the references fly over my head.)

And his politics are basically those of 90% of middle aged white men in this country. He mostly jokes about them, but then, so does my dad, and you know how amusing I find white men joking about how oppressed they are by having to pay taxes or something!

Hmph.

True enough. :D
CHUCK! I am so excited.
I am too!

And I'm very sure the vast majority of people don't watch Top Gear because of the technical car stuff but rather because of the presenters.

I hope she's good too, but I really want what's her name back.

Glad to know that - I was reading these comments and scratching my head.

I cracked up when I read this, but only because it's true. "Wait, Merlin was on last week??? What!" etc.
About the only one of the US shows you mentioned I'm really looking forward to is Leverage. \o/
24 I'm still on the fence about; I don't think I've actually seen the last episodes of last season yet, now that I think about it. (I didn't like what they did to Tony!)

Oh right! I forgot about Tony. :D It's my switch-off-the-brain show. I'd even forgotten about Tony already.
