The episodes were fun, and they've handled the Intercept 2.0 in a way so that Chuck hasn't turned into Neo/The One. So loveable Chuck is back and eventually Sarah and Casey, all back where they started.

The only thing is that these episodes hammered in the thing that bugs me about this show: the forced UST. Personally, I'm not really invested in if Chuck and Sarah get together. That's not why I watch the show. But the "OMG, WE MUST NOT GET TOGETHER BECAUSE OF OTHER PEOPLE/THE JOB/BEARS/THE INTERCEPT/CANDY CANES/ISSUES/SOMETHING NEW THIS WEEK" is very old. Okay, I might have made up a couple of those, but it's still forced UST. I scratch my head at writers sometimes.

So far the forced UST hasn't been annoying enough for me to quit it (might help that I really don't care about the two of them getting together), but I really can only take so much. They keep highlighting the forced UST and I might be ditching this show.

But the episode when they couldn't get together because of the candy canes was so tragic! *cries*

I, too, am very happy we don't have Super Chuck, all suave and cool. Not for more than a minute at a time. Although he is noticeably bulked up.

Only 2 things really bothered me in last night's episodes.
1) Chuck's hair. It looked awesome and adorable all full and curly in "VS the Pink Slip", the right balance of dorky adorableness. Then in the 2nd ep it looked thin and meh. What happened there? Honestly, I've never really noticed his hair before at all.

2)VS The Three Words. Is it really such a shock to Sarah to hear him say "I love you"? REALLY? They were going to run away together, leave everyone and everything that make their lives to be together, and that's shocking?

Wasn't it???

Chuck's hair.

I noticed that too! It was all long and shaggy.

I really wish the writers would back off the relationship stuff in general. They fail at writing it.

I call this "The Adam Baldwin Show" cause if it wasn't for him, I probably wouldn't watch it.

The angst could, actually, make me not want to bear it - even with Adam Baldwin there...

And I really liked the Candy Cane show. :)

Adam Baldwin really is awesome. XD

This is one of my guilty pleasure type shows, really. I have never taken it overly seriously, mainly because it has glaring faults. I just try to enjoy it and not take it too seriously - a bit like Glee.

Yeah, it's not something you can look at too hard. I mean, the premise alone... :D

I wish they'd stop with the blatant back and forth. I'm not really digging that stuff in a show... at all. If you don't want it to happen at this point, just tone it down and let it slip into the background for the time being. Or write it in a way that has the characters visibly getting closer in micro steps. Not... this.

I did like that they didn't turn him into Neo, though!

It seems a bit...desperate? Like they feel like they have to generate UST in order for people to watch?

I;ve only watched a couple of times, plus the two hours on Sunday, and I think the UST is pretty annoying. (But that may be because I'm not a big fan of the woman. She's one of three or four women that are one person in my brain.) Otherwise, I think the show is pretty fun.

There was another new episode on tonight, and thankfully it was much better about the UST. Or maybe I'm getting better at ignoring it. :D

I enjoyed both of the episodes. Personally, I do ship Chuck/Sarah and it doesn't seem forced to me but at times Chuck gets on my nerves when he's constantly wanting to talk about it - YOU'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF A MISSION! I get the whole deeath-bed confession type thing, but downstairs when they were at the party, NOT the time. Anyway...

I think I prefered the first episode though the timeline thing was a tad confusing at first imho. Poor loser!Chuck with his cheeseballs & comfy robe.

I really don't mind if they get together - I'm not anti-Chuck/Sarah. It's just all the different ways they come up with to keep them apart gets very old.
