24
It's back! You know, I had to laugh as I was watching it last night. 24 is like a hamburger at this local joint. There are about 20 different specialty things you can put on your hamburger there, but at the end of the day it's that same hamburger underneath. Every year on 24 you can pretty much expect the same things to happen. One of which being that everyone gives Jack grief about a hunch/feeling/information, when everyone knows that Jack is always right and so much time could have been saved if everyone listened to him. :D
The new CTU digs are also cracking me up since apparently they got their parking garage from Torchwood. MWAH.
So far I'm liking Katee Sackhoff. I think she'll be an interesting addition to the cast. Freddie Prinze Jr - meh. I'm sort of indifferent to him so far.
Also, they were wise in starting us off with a healthy dose of Jack-Chloe interaction. *nods* Jack-Chloe is part of that 24 hamburger. I don't think there was a "dammit, Chloe" last night, but there's bound to be one in the next ep or two.
Now let's just hope that Kim doesn't get attacked by a mountain lion on the way to the airport.

I did think the CTU digs in this season were quite bizarre. I mean, what was up with that huge curved door for the interrogation suite? I mean, what happens if they lost power? Sorry, you can't get out of interrogation any more because we don't have a regular door!
I do like Katee so far, though she's filling that role of the cliché character with the deep, dark, sekrit, that will come back to haunt her on what is already going to be a crappy day. There was a female character in a very similar role almost 6 seasons ago now. But it's all that stuff that goes to make up the hamburger. You're right about her fiancee though, he's a bit of a nonentity so far. Usually those in charge of field ops for CTU, with the exception of Jack, don't last terribly long. We'll see if Freddie can do any different.
And yes, I'm definitely looking for a "damn it, Chloe!" in the near future. You know it has to happen. Just like Kim always gets attacked by mountain lions - or something.

Oh, and the fact that the door slid up and down! XD

And even though I've had the hamburger before, I still like the hamburger. :D

Eh, he'll probably go out heroically.

Hopefully more of the former...

That really was the most bizarre thing. My wife commented that it was like something out of Star Trek.
I still like the hamburger.
It's one of my favourite things to eat. :)

IMDB seems to suggest that he'll be around for the whole season, but if so that's a first for his role! I think an heroic death seems far more likely. :)

I know that we all, including Chloe, love to hear that "damn it, Chloe!" line. :)

Now, I normally watch 24 with a healthy dose of "ignore reality" blinders on, but one thing from last night is really bothering me. So Starbuck has some deep dark secret that could ruin her career if it comes out - so how did she get the job in the first place? What, CTU doesn't bother to run background checks on people? The girl has a new name, and some redneck from her past can find her no problem, but CTU couldn't figure it out? LAME.

Yes!
New CTU boss is kind of a dick, so hopefully he'll see the light and realize that Jack is always right. And that he's a dick.
Oh, I'm sure he will. That's kind of inevitable, I think.
Kim didn't annoy me in the slightest which is always a pleasant surprise.
She was rather sweet, wasn't she?

Yeah, that's pretty amusing, isn't it? Kind of like when they do SCIENCE on a sci-fi show. :D

Well, if Agent CYA anything like
Agent DoofusLarry last season, he'll realize that just before he dies a horrible death. ... I could get behind that.no subject

No, I take that back. I'd start with the 2 hour Special that took place between S6 and S7 called "Redemption."
It was kind of a fresh start on the whole thing, and pretty much its own story even though it leads into S7.
