I'm getting behind on shows.

  • I was really glad Awesome got to see Chuck's abilities in this ep. It really is nice that someone from his personal life knows.

  • Fight Club cracked me up.

  • Why do we have a new guy? Did we need a new guy? I don't think so. And besides, the dude is BLAND. Seriously, why do we need this guy?

  • Chuck's hair needs to stop looking like a muffin.

Uh, I hope new guy will grow on me, but if not at least he'll be useless and pretty. Kinda how I feel about the female characters sometimes

He's a bit too Ken Doll for me to even find him attractive, unfortunately.

lol, that's all I'll think when I see him on tv next. Thanks for that

Awesome's story this season, going from all excited and wanting to be involved, to being terrified at the reality, is really a great touch.

I really like how they've made Chuck no longer the bumbling newbie, but still so very Chuck. They worked the transformation believably. Well, you know. Believably for the genre.

There have been more discussions in our household about Chuck's hair than any other aspect of the show. Even more than analyzing the Casey-grunts.

New guy - I can't see him as anything other than Superman. I can't.

Yeah, I think they've done the transition pretty well with Chuck. It helps that he doesn't have access to super powers all the time.

And did that guy play Superman? Figures.

[identity profile] maypanic.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep, he was in the movie a couple years ago. His character is probably more interesting if you choose to believe that he actually still is Superman, liaising with the CIA. Thus getting shot in the chest, stabbed in the heart, then just totally back to normal with a bandaid. The wedding band? Totally Lois.

Also the chick who played Lana Lang on Smallville is guest starring next week.

HA! I think I'm going to believe this now...

Call me stupid, but I genuinely thought Devon was dead at the end of ep three. I quite like Devon, but I thought this would have been a better storyline, shaken up the characters much more, than just having him 'kidnapped'.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 05:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Although I think killing off Devon would have not just shaken up the characters, it would have drastically altered the tone of the show.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 05:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, it's not like they could just blow over that - not like the manager of the Buy More. Basically everything in Chuck's personal life would be touched by Devon's death.

Why do we have a new guy? Did we need a new guy? I don't think so. And besides, the dude is BLAND. Seriously, why do we need this guy?

I was hoping Casey would shoot him...

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
That would be entertaining. :D

[identity profile] logicisfailing.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, but that enagement ring tells us he has a sad, angsty backstory ;-) Agreed, we so do not need a new guy.

I was glad that Morgan "manned up" and didn't give in. I was afraid they'd have him join in after he was just made assistant manager.

[identity profile] logicisfailing.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Or was it a wedding ring? i don't remember...my point still stands!

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I find myself not caring about his sad, angsty backstory for some reason. :D
