  • This was such a fun ep! I loved so much about it, including the reappearances of Maggie and Sterling. I'm surprised how much I enjoyed watching Sterling being on the team, but yet still being the guy everyone loves to hate. :D Plus, guest appearance by The Middleman himself!

Tara is fitting in better these days, but I'm still missing that sparkle that only Sophie can bring.

But anyway, I'm not sure there's a character on TV that I love watching more than Parker right now. And Hardison trying to ask out Parker is always icing on the cake. :D

  • Apparently I hooked my family on Top Gear over Christmas. Mwah. Seems both my brother and SiL, and my parents all have disks home from Netflix at the moment.

  • I tried watching Primeval last night and had a "what the what?" reaction. It went bye-bye from my Netflix instant queue.

ETA: [livejournal.com profile] _thirty2flavors handed me some gifs to use to fully express my reaction to Primeval.

=[ I'm sad you don't like Primeval. I was totally expecting to have the reaction you did but I ended up loving the characters and the science isn't so bad. I'd say give it another chance but I guess you really didn't like it. D:

It could easily be that I just wasn't in the mood last night. I might try it again this summer (when I'm desperate for stuff to watch.) After all, I dumped Torchwood when it first started after an episode and a half, but wound up coming back to it a year later.

Leverage! Was that tonight? Or last night? I need to check my DVR.

But you mentioned Tara! Don't tell me Sophie isn't back yet. I'm getting a very bad attitude about this whole thing. I want her back NOW.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2010-01-29 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
Last night! It was a good one. :)

Yeah, Sophie made a remote appearance again. *sniffs*

I love, love, love Leverage.

I want Sophia back too but I don't think she'll be in S2 except maybe at the end. They're hiding Gina Bellman's pregnancy or at least I think they are. She may show up pregnant yet.

Still Tara is Seven of Nine, so I'm okay with her unless she tries to assimilate the team.

I get the feeling we won't be seeing her this season either. *sighs* Hopefully it gets renewed for a third season.

And I'm much happier with Tara once they stopped trying to tell us how brilliant she is.

I did the same after watching a few minutes of the first episode of Primevil when it was on BBCA.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2010-01-29 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
It just didn't seem like my cup of tea.

[identity profile] greenpear.livejournal.com 2010-01-29 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
I loved seasons 1 & 2 of Primeval. Then something stoopid came over the writers and the entire third season was one giagantic train wreck. And they basically threw out every concept of the first two seasons and started in with this "future disaster" situation. Good Riddance!

But there's still Leverage Luv...

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2010-01-29 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I hate when that happens to shows.

[identity profile] solielle.livejournal.com 2010-01-29 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
Plus, guest appearance by The Middleman himself!

I KNOW! That was awesome. I do genuinely like that actor, so I had a lot of squee during last night. (and occasionally Dubbie shows up on White Collar. Not often enough, but she's there.)

I was really amused by the last few lines. "He took our credit and we didn't get paid? I hate this guy!" "Now you're part of the team." Hee.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2010-01-29 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
The funny thing was I didn't recognize him right away. About middle of the episode, "HEY!" :D

And I love how they love to hate Sterling. :D

But doesn't Primeval have dinosaurs?? DINOSAURS!

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2010-01-29 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, it has dinosaurs.

[identity profile] goldy-dollar.livejournal.com 2010-01-29 05:12 pm (UTC)(link)
DINOSAURS!! :D :D

Primeval was pretty hokey to start with, and pretty far fetched in the best of times, but it did get better.

That said, there are better. I'm in the process of watching Farscape right now, and it's just ... painful. Very, VERY painful.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 06:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I did love Farscape - I'm going to have to watch that again. :)

[identity profile] velvet4269.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
The first 3 seasons are on instant view :D That's how I'm watching it now.

[identity profile] velvet4269.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, and if you're looking for a series to watch (tho it's not available on instant view), I highly recommend 'True Blood'. Yes, it's somewhat similar to 'Twilight' in storyline, except the female lead actually has a real personality, and the male vampire lead is much more interesting.

Seriously, it's like crack. Even with the 'WTF?' storyline of the second season, it was still ... crack.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Eh, I'm not that big on vampires.
