Finished The Half Blood Prince. Overall it was the dullest book for me. (Although I did laugh out loud one or two times. Luna moments, I think.)

Harry was obsessed with Draco; I don't care about Draco. There was backstory about Tom Riddle; I didn't find it overly interesting. There was lots of relationship dwama; I was only entertained for so long, amused at how stuff related to ship wars, but after a bit I didn't really care much.

And...there really wasn't a whole lot else to the book. :D

Well, my two favorite characters in the Harry Potter series have always been Harry and Dumbledore, so “Dumbledore gives Harry private lessons” probably would’ve been enough to make me love Half-Blood Prince all by itself.

Totally! I think they had more together time than all the other books combined!

The backstory was a bit of a letdown, though. Tom Riddle was always evil? Really? He crossed the Moral Event Horizon before his twelfth birthday? When I find myself thinking things like, “At least Anakin Skywalker had a character arc,” I know there’s a problem.

Yeah, it gave us new details, but nothing huge (apart from the Horcruxes.)
