A part of me is excited by this new toy (which I apparently can't play with since my layout is built on S1), but another part of me is all, "Point?" I suppose I could tag certain posts with the label 'wienerdoggery', but I think it goes without saying that wienerdoggery occurs in almost every one of my posts. ;) And I guess I could tag my fic posts with the label 'fic', but I already do that via memories.
I don't know. *shrug* It's all a moo point with me anyway. Heh.
I like the idea behind it - memories is kind of clunky. This way you've got all your "SG-1" posts identified or all your "Lost" posts identified. Maybe stuff you don't necessarily feel the need to put in memories, but would like to find again someday.
I agree with the not wanting to see it on the post. I'm sure once it's been around a while, they'll play with options for viewing the tags of a post. New things always have issues like that.

Hopefully. Otherwise you'll end up seeing a post with a tag of "funny" only it's not... Heh heh. I don't mind if other people would want to use the tags to search through my journal, but put it on a different page or something.

Apparently tags are keywords you can give your posts, so that you can find them and sort them later in life.
