Okay, what was up with the Firefly castoff clothes? And...they all matched! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Dude. Even when SG-1 isn't in their base jammies, they still have to match! :D *pets them*

Overall, this was much better than last week which was a complete snoozefest. Although why they decided to take time out to go to Washington for funding was beyond me. Yes yes, context for the season. *whines* But it was as boring as a Star Wars plot about senate appropriations! For me the rest of it was entertaining enough, even though you could see the ending coming a mile away. But I always find it amusing to watch Daniel in uncomfortable situations - no one does "mildly freaked out" quite like him.

Even though I was entertained, it still felt a bit uneven - a feeling I didn't really have with the last three episodes. I tried to put my finger on it - old rhythm gone because of the new characters (of course why I'm getting this now in ep 4, I don't know) or...something - but I can't quite figure it out. I'm hoping it'll get a bit more steady once Sam's back. Although it is *completely* amusing for me to see [livejournal.com profile] nandamai's brain melt every time she has to watch Vala. I'm evil like that.

Daniel's been hilarious. "OMG I'm stuck here with the crazy woman and this new guy and the general won't let me have my way and Jack and Sam have abandoned me and Teal'c gonna abandon me and WAHHHHHHHHH."

After all he's been through, it's hilarious that Vala may well be what drives him into a complete meltdown. :)

Yeah. It feels like they're marking time until the band's back together, so to speak. Or maybe that's just my "I miss the teaminess" and my "OMG I miss Sam" bias showing.

HA! So true! And he keeps saying things like "I was *this* close to leaving. This close!" Poor Daniel!

He can join nanda. ;)

Yeah, it totally feels that way. Come back, Sam! Wah!

We should start the Vala Fanclub and name nanda as the president.

(You know, after we all leave Boston, so she can't kill us.)

I adore Sam. And I adore Vala too. And I want them both on the series!

Except I suspect that Sam and Vala cannot be in a room together for more than five minutes (at most) without something exploding. And that something will probably be either Sam's head or Vala after Sam gets ahold of her.

Sam and Vala in the same room would be very amusing. At the very least, Sam would give Daniel TONS of crap. :D

I enjoyed this episode of SG-1 better than the first three. It was a little on the silly side but that's better thaan being on the dull side (see first three episodes).

Daniel and Vala do well on screen together but I couldn't see Vala being there long term. She just doesn't fill the roll like Sam does.

And yes, when Sam comes back and Teal'c gets booted out of the Jaffa nation (or however they do it) the *teaminess* will resurface... even with the new guy.

Yeah, Vala just can't fill the roll like Sam. Too bad that she's there as a place filler, like everyone knows she is. Her chracter will forever be linked to the fact that Sam's not there.

Yeah, I'm sure they'll all be back on SG-1. For me I think that's when S9 will really start.
