Okay, what was up with the Firefly castoff clothes? And...they all matched! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Dude. Even when SG-1 isn't in their base jammies, they still have to match! :D *pets them*
Overall, this was much better than last week which was a complete snoozefest. Although why they decided to take time out to go to Washington for funding was beyond me. Yes yes, context for the season. *whines* But it was as boring as a Star Wars plot about senate appropriations! For me the rest of it was entertaining enough, even though you could see the ending coming a mile away. But I always find it amusing to watch Daniel in uncomfortable situations - no one does "mildly freaked out" quite like him.
Even though I was entertained, it still felt a bit uneven - a feeling I didn't really have with the last three episodes. I tried to put my finger on it - old rhythm gone because of the new characters (of course why I'm getting this now in ep 4, I don't know) or...something - but I can't quite figure it out. I'm hoping it'll get a bit more steady once Sam's back. Although it is *completely* amusing for me to see

Except I suspect that Sam and Vala cannot be in a room together for more than five minutes (at most) without something exploding. And that something will probably be either Sam's head or Vala after Sam gets ahold of her.
