It's not helping my current obsession to see that Martin Freeman (the guy who plays John) has said that he sees Sherlock and John as being profoundly in love. And that they all saw it as a love story.

Oh that's perfect! I agree that we don't have any definitive proof but he is certainly cuddly enough to be made of kittens even if wiki doesn't think so. :D
