Downton Abbey fandom is a bit crazycakes, no? There are ship battles, but it's not like any of them involve a triangle. And the weapon of choice is use the dirty word of boring. If you ship one thing then you must run out and say that every other pairing is BORING. It's like a lace-gloved slapfight. XD (For the record I don't ship anyone on the show. I'd much prefer to slap characters instead.)
Tony/Pepper fic has an extreme amount of blushing going on. I had no idea these characters blushed so much! :D
I want more good Sherlock/John or Holmes/Watson fic. I've read it all. :(

The fact that Downton Abbey even has a fandom amuses me for some reason.

That said, I'm glad I've stayed out of it. I don't ship anyone either and I have a feeling I'd (as usual) have a lot of unpopular opinions.

I probably would too. I don't like Branson for starters, and I think that right there would run me out. :D

I mean, I did actually like him last season and was kind of tentatively okay with Sybil/Branson (their socialist puppy love could have been so pure, had it actually happened that way) but then this season he turned into such a raging douchebag and he and Sybil got about 4 minutes total of screen time together so I'm going to go with a no on that ship.

katieforsythe? (If so, I commend you, 'cause there's a lot; if you haven't, it's absolutely fantastic, though it really helps to have a copy of the books handy (or wikipedia...) 'cause you want to find those scenes she's expanding on.)

I don't know that I remember that from my brief stints reading Tony/Pepper fic, but it also doesn't surprise me so maybe I repressed it.

Though I was admittedly part of the Sherlock Holmes fandom well before the most recent TV show came out, I'm pretty sure 'Sherlock/John' would refer to BBC Sherlock fics and 'Holmes/Watson' would be Doyle-era fics. Cuz that's what they call each other in the respective canon. *shrugs*

Ugh, I know. Despite liking the show, I never really got into BBC Sherlock fandom. However, I do remember COMPLETELY RUNNING OUT of awesome Holmes/Watson and being so depressed that there wasn't more.

Sadly it's not like HP or LotR fandom where you could read for years and not run out. Woe.
