Hmph. I think I'm getting a bit tired of pairing the spares when reading fic. It seems like a particular pitfall in Sherlock fandom. If the story is about one pairing, there seems to be this irresistible compulsion to at least mention that everyone else is paired up. Maybe in this fandom it's to up the penis ratio?

I have spares pairing fatigue.

Ya... I agree. :)
That's why I don't try and pair up the extras usually. Not everyone needs to be paired up.

They really don't! It's okay for secondary characters to not be off shagging like bunnies.

(WOAH. WOAH WOAH WOAH. New LJ format)

Yeah. It's the same with movies too. All the side characters are usually given their love interests and 'happy endings.' And obviously that's SO not how it happens in real life. :)

UGH. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO CHANGE, LJ? AND WHERE'S SPELLCHECK?

I KNOW. I don't know that I'm okay with this, LJ. Change is bad. Bad=change. We are creatures who do not like change.

I've changed my comment page. It works, I guess, but I like the plain page.

YES! SINGLE PEOPLE EXIST TOO AND SOMETIMES THEY ARE EVEN HAPPY ABOUT IT.

STRANGE BUT TRUE.
