josephides original. Emailed to me mere seconds ago. Thor does come to their rescue an awful lot, doesn't he?
Daniel, his nose buried in a book, rose from SG-1's favourite table. "See you later, guys," he said in his typically uninterested voice.
Sam sucked on her Jell-O spoon heartily. "See ya later, Danny," she said, licking the spoon enthusiastically.
Jack tried to drag his eyes away from Sam's tongue, but failed. "Yeah... whatever, Danny."
Moments later there was a shout and a crash. Sam and Jack turned, in horror, to see that Daniel had walked into Lt Something-or-other. They watched, shocked, as the Lt's coffee cup rose into the air, the scalding liquid flying towards everyone's favourite archaeologist...
"Nooooooooooooo!" Jack cried, his hand reaching out in slow motion towards Daniel.
"Daaaaaannnnnnnnniiiieeeeeeeeeeelllllllll!!!!!!" Sam yelled, pale faced with shock.
The scalding coffee fell towards Daniel and he froze, terrified.
Suddenly, a blinding white flash occurred and Daniel was whisked from the commissary.
Jack gasped with relief and put a reassuring hand on Sam's shoulder. "Thank God for Thor, Carter, thank God for Thor."
Tears in her eye, Sam buried herself in her CO's chest. "I just don't know what we'd do without him, sir," she wept.
