We're sorry. The 563 Doctor Who books you had in your Shopping Cart are no longer available from the seller you selected. We've moved them to the Saved Items section of your Shopping Cart.

BUT...YOU'RE THE SELLER! Damn you, Amazon!

You had 563 DW books in your cart? Dood.

Okay, maybe a *slight* exaggeration. 561.

*is so happy not to be the only geek buying DW books*

I had that happen to me last week, but I was buying from someone else in the used books section. Managed to find another copy for an only slightly-higher price.

It's so weird. I have *never* read TV/movie books before. It's the fact that they only have 14 episodes a year. Not nearly enough!

BAH. I found them at Target - might try that.

I read Star Trek books when I was younger, but I haven't read a tie-in novel in at least six years now.

I actually was ordering the older stuff; the one I just got was a Fifth Doctor book that came out in '94, and the one that had the stocking problems was a Big Finish anthology. (Eight/Charley goodness within, yay!)

I might try and get The Stone Rose at Target, though, since it got the best reviews out of all the new ones.

HEE! (One of these days...maybe after S2 is done. Then I can do all the old DW stuff I've been meaning to do.)

Oh yeah? Well, I'll probably end up getting them all. Except for one that I read was just wretched.

Eeeee. You will freaking love Eight and Charley. You will. (Unless you don't. But I really think you will. Just remember that the first one is not the best of the audios and to give it until at least the third one.)

That's what I've heard both at shipper places and non-shipper places. Jacqueline Rayner does editorial stuff for the Big Finish anthologies and I think produces or writes for the audios or something; anyway, she's involved in a lot of Who stuff, and is apparently pretty good at it.

You can get Who books at Target? Ooh, I didn't think of checking there ... *plots Target run immediately after work* I have two on their way from Amazon, but since I'm cheap I'm having them shipped with the Galactica season 2 soundtrack, which sadly got its release date pushed back to next week.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I don't think they're in the store. Target.com. It's weird - I know Target.com and Amazon are tied together, but for some reason Target took my order when Amazon wouldn't. With the same account. Bah.

[identity profile] spacefiend.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 05:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahh, okay. Bummer. But yeah, that is odd that it works through target.com.

[identity profile] diavestra.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
did you actually check to see whether they were actually from Amazon or a third party seller? A lot of things *look* like they're from Amazon but really they're from another shop.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, supposedly Amazon was the seller. At least it said something like "this item is sold and shipped from Amazon.com"

[identity profile] diavestra.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
then they are obviously just trying to psych you out...

[identity profile] diavestra.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
and it worked, didn't it??

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2006-06-14 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I beat them though - got it through target.com.
