How incredibly sad that someone stoops so low for ego-boosting. (I can only imagine what their RL life must be like.) And how amazing that people think they can do something so blatant and not get caught (especially when the fandoms live next-door to each other).

Thanks for catching this and bringing it to light. Hopefully (but I'm not holding my breath), others will learn from the fallout ... 'cause there'll definitely be some fallout.

Unfortunately, we all skate on the edge when we write fanfiction, but plagiarism - especially undisguised - takes the cake.

Funny thing was, that while I was really getting into DW at the time they posted my fic, don't think I had really started to wander over to T&C yet. While I'm not a big fic reader, I *probably* would have perked right up with a post headed up as "Doctor and Duck" and at least checked it out.

As a mod at t&c, I'm taking down the identified plagiarized fics right now. I have no doubt that the rest of her work is plagiarized, however due to the fact it hasn't yet been identified, I'd rather hold off a few hours and consult with the other mods.

The whofic.com people are also being informed about this. It'll be stamped on - they have a track record of deleting the accounts of plagiarisers there. I've been looking at her fics on the whofic site and finding copied chunks and making notes of them.

God, I hate plagiarisers.
