Did BSG just title an episode after the Cheers song?
The ending with Lee and Kara confused me to no end. You think Lee is moving on, but then he gives Kara The Angsty Look while hugging Dee. And he was telling Dee that he "loved" Kara? Dude, I'm not quite sure you can apply the past-tense to something when 30 minutes before you were talking about possibly leaving your wife and being scared the other woman was going to bail on you again. Because of that, I just can't buy Lee's sudden change of heart with Dee. Lee's a dick. At least Kara's being somewhat honest with Anders.
Hmm. It almost sounds like I *want* Kara and Lee to get together. Am actually rather indifferent, although if they did, it definitely wouldn't be this happy, rainbowy relationship like I think Lee thinks it would be. Kara's gonna mess up pretty much everyone she's with. Lee was right about one thing - Dee *is* good for him. A lot better for him than Kara will be. (Yeah, I think TPTB will still eventually go there.) And actually, come to think of it, I think Anders is better for Kara - he seems to have the unique ability to deal with Kara's shit.
Yeesh. I'm so glad I don't ship Lee/Kara or Lee/Dee or Kara/Anders. I'd be going mad.
But on to other things.
The scenes between Mary McDonnell, James Callis and Edward James Olmos were top-notch. Scenes like these are what make BSG the amazing show it is. And with writing like that, where they get to show off their acting chops, I can see why these people are more than pleased to stay on a sci-fi show. Shame the Emmys will never give this show or its actors its due, just because it *is* sci-fi. And sci-fi is weird or something.
The only thing I didn't really care for was the cut editing between Baltar and Lee. It was jarring and not quite sure why it was there since they didn't really seem to mirror each other.
Oh, and Gaeta? He's a cylon. Totally. Undoubtedly that's what Baltar whispered to him as well. He didn't come down to the cell to kill Baltar, he came to save him. *nods*

With Adama and Roslin, you mean? Looked like his place. And as long as no one calls them "mom and dad," they can shag like bunnies for all I care.
and then annoyed that the Six stuff didn't get played.
I know!
BECAUSE I LIVE NOT IN THE STATES AND THE WEBSITE HATES THAT.
:(
Of course, I never made it back onto the computer to watch it myself.

I totally do that sometimes. Usually when I am trying to be funny, but more often in relation to them and other characters. Like Lee does something stupid and then Mummy is angry with him. etc. I don't really do it that often because it is kind of...icky.

I think one of the reasons this felt like a "Mom and Dad" episode was that they were all "Let's interrogate the creepy man while the children are out playing". A similar theme ("Let's get cutely stoned while the children are all off frakking") worked well in...that boxing episode, but here it just felt like they took two unrelated plot lines and mashed them together.

Oh, I completely agree. And *really* mashed them together during the end with the quick cutting between Lee and Baltar. That still befuddles me.
