HP IMAX?
Did anyone see the IMAX version of the Harry Potter movie? Is it worth it? Worth it to someone who's not *overly* into HP? I mean, can you actually tell a difference for the "3D" parts of it?
Never made it to the movie this past weekend due to parents and just being outright tired. I *can* go to an IMAX, but it's definitely out of the way. However, if the IMAX version is the bestest thing since this icon (as seen on
jcd1013's journal), I might make the trek.

You can snag if you like. I don't know if the original maker is still here on LJ--I've used it for ages--but they certainly didn't mind then!

... and that icon is weird.

I was kind of wondering about that. I wasn't interested when I thought the whole movie was in 3D - too much pukiness from my thinking. But only part might not be so bad? Or maybe not.
But having not seen it myself (in IMAX, I mean; I've seen the normal version 3 times already),

I really enjoyed the regular one and will use my re-admit tickets soon, hopefully. I mean I spend $30 dollars alone on the tickets ($15 each) and so I will use those re-admit tickets. ^_^
But yeah if it's out of the way and you're not "overly into HP" I suggest the regular one. :)
Oh and that icon is fantastic! Loved it!

I work at a theatre with an IMAX, so it's like right there (and free!), otherwise I probably wouldn't have seen it in IMAX. I definitely wouldn't say the IMAX version is the best thing since that icon, which does rock, btw, so don't go out of your way. Especially if you don't want to pay a lot of money for something that could make you sick / give you a headache if you've never experienced it before. I don't know how much it costs at the IMAX near you, but it's $12 at my theatre in Michigan and I can only imagine what it would be in California.

I can totally see watching it if I worked at an IMAX theater! But thanks for the "okay, but don't go out of your way" review. That's exactly what I was hoping for. :)
I have no idea how much it costs around here - probably quite a bit more, yeah.
