We currently have 106, heading for 110 apparentlly. Yesterday at around 2 - 3 it was 108. I have now not been outside the house since I got home on Friday afternoon.
*That* is the way to survive. Sadly, though, at some point I shall have to venture out to the grocery store. I am making the family eat old and stale food in order to avoid leaving the house as long as possible.
I haven't been out of my place since Friday afternoon either. Well, I went outside this morning to water my plant. In spite of Pogo and LJ, I'm starting to feel a bit stir crazy, but without A/C in the car, venturing outside during the day is NO. Maybe I might go to the store tonight. I ran out of fresh fruits/vegetables.
I managed to avoid going out again today. Although the car has AC, I have no desire to swelter while it cools down - along about the time I get to the store.
I dug out the laptop today and played Diablo II. Although it quite annoys me that when I save the game and exit, all the monsters repopulate. Which means that if you quite mid-quest, you lose *everything* you've done to that point.
Although, that said, the UK has just undergone the wettest summer since they started recording in the early 19-somethings. Apparently it's now officially autumn and I can remember about three days of sunshine. Typical!

In other words, I hear you about the stir crazy.

Yahoo says that it is 107 F over here... but I like your version better! I'm sure that they would agree if they were actually living through it.
*goes to check if new ice is available in ice maker*
Oh and I totally would second the idea of ice blankets!!! the closest thing to that is ice packs.
