I meant to do this the other day after I watched Iron Man and Indiana Jones: comment on all the previews I saw for the summer movies.
The Incredible Hulk
You Don't Mess with the Zohan
The Happening
Get Smart
The Love Guru
Wall-E
Hancock
Hellboy II
The Dark Knight
The Mummy
I didn't see a preview for it, but just felt the need to mention that I WILL be seeing the X-Files movie. \o/
And also in the Coming Soon department, new Futurama DVD June 24!!
The Incredible Hulk
- No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
No.
You Don't Mess with the Zohan
- It might be funny, and it also might be a single joke. I'd probably be more tempted to see it if it was a Cohen Brother's flick. (Secret confession - I laughed so hard I cried during There's Something About Mary.)
The Happening
- *is still traumatized from watching the Sixth Sense in the theater* I'll satisfy my curiousity about his twist-of-the-day by reading spoilers.
Get Smart
- I want to want to see this movie, but the trailer looked really dumb. I've got a bad feeling about this, Sparky. If the reviews are bad, I definitely won't see it.
The Love Guru
- I'm not sure why Mike Myers didn't just make another Austin Powers movie, because this is exactly what this is. Very big PASS.
Wall-E
- Awwwww. I hope it's good. I wanna see it.
Hancock
- Looks like a blast, and Will Smith is always a draw for me. I'll see it.
Hellboy II
- Okay, what? I had no idea there was a Hellboy I. Nor do I think I care.
The Dark Knight
- Hmm. This is a maybe for me. I love giving Christopher Nolan kudos for just about anything. I'm sure he walks the dog masterfully. But the superhero thing just never excites me on its own.
The Mummy
- Eh, I'll probably see it. Looks like some brainless fun. I'm not expecting the charm of the first 2 movies though, considering Evie's been actor-replaced. (They really couldn't find a British actor? Erg, she's going to attempt the fake accent, isn't she?) But, you know, Brendan Fraser. So yay! And also Michelle Yeoh who I've had a girlcrush on ever since Crouching Tiger.

I'm so bloody excited for this movie because it looks adorable and I love Wall-E. But of course whenever you say it, you have to do it like he says it: Woo-aaaallieeeeee.
Hancock
It's funny, I love Will Smith and I love super hero movies, but when I first saw the previews for this, I thought it was going to be stupid and I had no interest in seeing it. But I've found that the more previews I've seen for it, the better it looks. Specially 'cause he gets an awesome super hero suit.
Hellboy II
I didn't see the first one, it didn't appeal to me at all back when it came out, but I think my tastes are growing and the previeiw for this one actually going, "... huh... that actually could be good...." Also, it's directed by Guillermo del Toro, who I worship after seeing Pan's Labyrinth. So I'm going to go see it.
The Dark Knight
Dun nuh Nuh nuh Dun nuh Nuh nuh BATMAN! Again on the me loving super hero movies, the Batman movies, even before Christopher Nolan started doing the remakes, have always been my favorites. Besides, I have soft spot for them because the first one was released the year I was born. (My college made a big deal out of this during our introducktion weekend. Yes there's a "k" in that; we're the Ducks ;D) So liking the Batman movies is written into my genetic code.
And besides. Christian Bale. And Heath Ledger (rest his soul). This movie's gonna be full of eye candy frames.
The Mummy
Anne and I are really excited for this movie. We love love love Brendan Fraiser, and I love action movies. Ok, really, I just love movies, but the Mummy movies have also always been favorites because I love mythology. More the Greek and Roman stuff, but the Egyptian stuff too. So yay for Egyptology and hot guys wielding guns in the 1950's. I also love period pieces.
So I'll probably see just about every movie that comes out this summer. What can I say? I love movies. Plus, it'll be my first full summer in Arizona, so I'm going to hide in those cool, dark, air-conditioned theaters as often as I can possibly get away with.

I know! So cute!

The Tim Burton one? Okay, I saw that in the theater. Which makes me just slightly older... :D

I do too. It's what appeals to me about Indiana Jones (well, it's not the only thing), and National Treasure. Adventures built around investigating myths.

Oh yeah. No kidding.

One and the same. Sorry about that. XD
Adventures built around investigating myths.
Hellz yes. It's one of the reasons I'm so fascinated with Disney history, because there's all these little stories all over the place. *loves*
