Well, this will be easy to quit this show before it becomes hopelessly mired in seasons-long conspiracy theories. This latest episode completely put me off. Or maybe I just wasn't in the mood to watch some other women-as-prey/victims thing. Why exactly would this person need to kill young attractive women for something that's found in everyone? And why would he need to extract part of their brain while they were conscious for it? That's just sadistic torture right there, made no sense to the plot and so was completely gratuitous for shock value. And the guy said "he should have let me die" at the end (referring to the guy who created him) - um, if you wanted to die so bad, you could have refused to kill anyone. So the whole thing was gratuitous.
Bye, Fringe. Oh, and screw you. I really don't need to see this kind of shit.
On to lighter things...
Kenley? You really need to shut up now. But looks like she might be in trouble next week. Anyway, I don't have a whole lot to say other than I agree with kicking off Joe - it was a business suit from the 90s. And a really frumpy looking one at that. He obviously got stuck in thinking that if you're going for an interview, you need a suit. I also agree that Jerell should have won. I want to wear that outfit.
On to wackier things...
For some strange reason I dreamed I got my hands on a new DW episode - one where Ten, Rose and Donna were all traveling together. They got to a planet and Rose got infected with something that made her mute. And turned her hair black, turning her into a emo kid. Something like that. The Doctor was completely useless since he didn't really care about Rose when she was all emo and strange. Donna was at least concerned, looking out for Rose as she proceeded to dust the grand piano in the TARDIS. (She really liked doing that.)
Whatever it was finally wore off, Rose got her voice back and her hair turned blonde again. The Doctor was happy to hug her again after that. And Donna declared that she would be happy to put the Doctor and Rose's five kids to bed, which she did, not that she had to do anything since they were perfect little angels. You know, like kids are.
I then debated whether or not to post about the episode on LJ since I really didn't like it much, but decided that
shinyopals would really want to know that they finally were going with the Doctor, Rose and Donna on the show. My first remark was to wonder how Rose could still look 22 and have 5 kids of varying ages. And then I woke up.

Um, easier to lure away? I guess he could seduce young attractive men...
And why would he need to extract part of their brain while they were conscious for it
Huh, no excuse for this one... and why am I trying to defend this badly done hi-tech rip-off of the X-files?? I'll give it one more episode in honor of my old crush on Joshua Jackson, but if that's as crappy as this one, bye bye Fringe.

See, I could think of other ways he could go about this without any sort of seducing or luring.

He really is the best part of the show. Probably because his attitude is "WTF?" most the time. :D

Yeah, the only part I liked were his interactions with his dad.
Do you know how it's doing rating-wise? Just wondering wheter we're the voices out of the chorus.

FOR SERIOUS. Also, I don't understand someone who is all "I NEVER listen to Tim. Why the hell would I do THAT?" O_o
I kind of really want to see your dream as an episode. I'm sure it would be REALLY funny. :)

I don't understand it either.

It probably would be! Although I was getting pretty annoyed with the Doctor about his complete indifference to Rose. HEH!

Perhaps he just didn't want to admit an attraction to brunettes? (Because, seriously, Ten especially has a blonde fetish).

The best part of the show really is the father and son. (Although who knows if he's really his son, what with the comment at the end.)
That's an interesting dream.

*blames the drugs* Drugs are good, except penicillin which is just gross.

Another thought I had was that he could be his clone.

But LOL at emo!Rose.
I then debated whether or not to post about the episode on LJ since I really didn't like it much, but decided that
BWAHAHAHA.
My reaction when I read this was something like: "Well it's fairly obvious that Rose has been affected by the Bad Wolf and is going to live for the same length of time as the D- HANG ON... did she just say she dreamed about posting on LJ to keep me up-to-date on DW?"
I don't *think* I've ever dreamed about posting on LJ. But then I usually am a character when I dream about Who! XD

BWAH!!!

I've had LJ-related dreams before. But then again, I'm a nerd.

(Plus, Abrahms apparently sucks at the continuity, and this really isn't a show where you can be lazy about that.)
The Doctor was completely useless since he didn't really care about Rose when she was all emo and strange.
Awww...maybe he was just afraid of catching the emo? I mean, we've seen what he's like with only mildly increased emo...enough emo to turn his hair black might destroy the world.

Yeah. Just...yeah. It was this vague sort of feeling of being insulted while my IQ dropped.
(Plus, Abrahms apparently sucks at the continuity, and this really isn't a show where you can be lazy about that.)
I really don't put much faith in him having a plan for this show other than "A Shadowy Conspiracy" that lets him do X-Files-type plots.

Maybe that was it. Maybe he was trying to protect the universe! And he figured that Donna would be immune to that kind of thing, so best let her deal with it.

"...but one does not bust into a potential murder scene with only Pacey as backup. Just not how it's done. Maybe Olivia was worried that her colleagues would be unable to leave the office in any case, what with the enormous, floating "BOSTON FEDERAL BUILDING" block letters blocking their exit."
MWAH!

(You know, thinking about it again finally got the opening to make sense for me. I still don't like it, or the subsequent torture scenes.)

The block letters were even weirder in the first episode. :D

Oh, it was confusing you? Although, at first I thought the point would be trying to get people pregnant, but turns out it was an accident.

I think part of it was that I didn't think either of them knew what was going on. But mostly it's literally unthinkable to me that one might not use protection if you meet a guy in a bar. This either makes me very naive, or the product of a really good sex education program. I don't know which.

I tried opening your brain to take a look inside, but I was repelled by all the singing munchkins.

My main problem with that show is... it looks so artificial, in a way The X-Files didn't. Like they're saying, "Hi, look at us, we're so cool, you know we are, don't you? DON'T YOU?" It kind of makes an opposite effect and makes me want to run for the door.
And wtf at that dream. I guess the long break inbetween the episodes does that to you. o_O
no subject
It does suffer from that, doesn't it? Like the overly-dramatic music cues. And lots of concerned staring at things. :D

Apparently!

I guess if I were 10 years old, it would actually work but somehow I doubt that was the target audience. I mean, this is the man who created LOST, for Pete's sake! Maybe he is upset he doesn't get to use a lot of CGI there because they're on an island, so he went a little overexcited here. I have a feeling it will be like, "No, don't do that. No, really, just... don't." all the time. :D

The only character remotely interesting is the mad and odd scientist.

That is a truly awesome dream.

He's fairly interesting. Not enough to save the show for me though.
That is a truly awesome dream.
