Wuh?
So. First five minutes of Spaced. Am I supposed to understand what the hell is going on?
Same scene with different people. A new scene with the same people but who look different, and is repeated over and over...
This is Confuse A Cat Ltd., isn't it?
*gets a headache and wanders off*

Seriously, the entire style is like that. It usually makes little to no sense. That's why it's so unbelievably awesome. <3333

Are you on episode 1? The beginning is Simon Pegg's character getting dumped by his girlfriend, and Jessica Hynes' character "breaking up" with a homeless man, then giving him some change. You're supposed to think that Hynes was talking to Pegg.

The references are so awesome and plentiful there's actually a subtitle track that is just to tell you everything that's being referenced! Love. It!

The bit where it looks like all the same moments over and over is them (as Julie Andrews so nicely sings along) getting to know each other day by day as they sit in the cafe and seperately flat hunt. It's the requesite montage sequence. :)
Honestly, stick with it and if you start getting confused, just play the 'which movie is this a homage too?' game till your brain catches up. :)
There are enough words to describe how much a frakkin *love* this show, but I just am not that educated or eloquent! ;)

It is mentioned, but only because Tim is ever so slightly obsessed with Gillian Anderson in a bedroom recreational sense. *cough* ;)
No time travel, just *alot* of movie references and plenty of laughs. :D

So I was expecting something really out there.

I'm trying to think of the best way to describe Spaced....*ponders*
Bit random, very funny sit com not filmed infront of a live studio audience. Excellent watching as a drinking game for the movie references.
*reads what I've written*
Huh! Really doesnt' do it justice. Told you I wasn't eloquent! ;)
