N!F!S

I was reading [livejournal.com profile] fandomsecrets today and realizing that much of it is about fandoms I've never even heard of, or bitching about other secrets.

Anyway, I was trying to think of "secrets" I have that are f!s-like, but I don't feel the need to make graphics and submit anonymously for.

  • I tried watching Firefly twice and gave up both times. I failed to see the awesome. Not!Secret Because: Blasphemy to much of my flist.

  • Tom Baker skeeves me the hell out, and probably related to that, I don't much care for Four. Not!Secret Because: He's like a UK national treasure.

  • I'm amused when Dirk Benedict throws a tantrum, and love the snark about him. Not!Secret Because: Why should I care about an actor whose last big role was in the 80s?

  • I don't find David Tennant, Chris Eccleston or Billie Piper outside of their Who roles all that interesting and/or hot. Not!Secret Because: My flist will whack me with nerf bats. XD (Note: That's not to say that I could never again find them interesting with some new role in the future - it hasn't happened yet though.)

  • I bought a big-ass caramel apple at the store today and will devour it at home. Not!Secret Because: IT'S A CARAMEL APPLE AND IT'S MINE.

I can't watch him because his hair reminds me of my ex-brother-in-law who I couldn't stand.

XD

I didn't know he had until I read about it at F!S. XD

He's such a douche and so fun to mock. :D

DT in Hamlet was fantastic. The only other things I've watched him in is TOTA and Blackpool which I watched with my friend when I visted England to see Hamlet. I've never seen BP or CE in anything else. Except I did see CE in an old episode of Poirot which was amusing because he had hair. XD

I just can't get excited about Hamlet for some reason. But I'll have to keep my eyes open for that old Poirot ep. I've been planning on watching some Poirot since I've run out Marple.

I just saw that Poirot episode sort of by accident (meaning I didn't know he was in it *g*) with my mother this last weekend. Unexpected Eccleston was unexpected. And awesome, even though he *was* playing a blackshirt. *shudders a little*

But I definitely had an "OMGBaby!Nine!" moment or two. :-D

...y'know, now I suddenly can't remember. We watched three of 'em. *sheepish grin*

Wait! Pretty sure it was "One, Two, Buckle My Shoe."

I am seriously tempted to one day invite people over for a marathon of detective stories starring/guest-starring past/future Doctors. *g* I'd pick a Campion episode, of course, plus the Poirot episodes with Chris Eccleston and Paul McGann, possibly Tom Baker's Remington Steele episode and...well, I don't know if any of the others did anything that would fit! *g*

Of course, like most of my event day ideas, this one will probably never actually materialize. ;-)

That's a great theme idea! :D

Paul McGann

I've watched that episode (Sad Cypress) several times and never realized that he was in it. XD I'm a bad DW fan. ;)

Hee! I've had that happen...not with him, but with other actors.

But I got a real kick out of the fact that Paul McGann's character in that particular Poirot installment was Doctor Lord of all things. Made me want to ask if his first name was "Time". ;-)

XD I have to rewatch that now.

I was fortunate to see DT in Hamlet and when Polonius came on stage I thought "Hey! That guy was in an episodes of Poirot!" He (Oliver Ford Davies) played Dr. Sheppard in The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. XD

I just can't get excited about Hamlet for some reason.

Give it a try when it's finally shown over here. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Hey, it's got Patrick Stewart too. XD
