HEH.

Medication has made me nauseous today. It doesn't happen very often, but I called in sick. Blech. In a couple of days I start taking half doses for a while and then go off it. I'm hoping I can stay off. The side effects are mainly mild, but still not pleasant.

ANYWAY, I read some sock stuff this morning, which cheered me up. So we have these socks that are based off a fictional show. Yesterday these socks started talking about a fictional show they were watching (which bears a striking resemblance to a certain real show), and then one of the socks wrote fanfiction. About the fictional show. And he's fiction himself. Based on fiction. This is some sort of madness, isn't it? :D

No spoilers for DW's The Waters of Mars, but maybe some general impressions...

Rose posts about this show called "Bob" that everyone in the country is going to be watching.

The Doctor posts a reaction post to the episode "The Quarry of Manglefletch."

The Doctor writes fanfic with spoilers for the episode.

OH. And the Doctor firmly believes that Bob is asexual. XD XD

Awww *SQUISH SQUISH*

Tea! You need tea! And um... cake! And eating ice cream out of the tub - no, wait, that's still me. Blankets and pillows in front of the TV all day? JUST DON'T PUT ON ANYTHING DEPRESSING. American gets the Animal Planet station thing, right?

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 04:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Tea and cake doesn't even sound good. Bleh.

We do get the Animal Planet, but sometimes they air Animal Cops where they have to go in and save abused animals. *sniffs*

BAH. Never mind, then. Aren't fizzy drinks supposed to settle your stomach? Ginger ale?

WHAT. NO. *sniffs*

I have diet Coke in the house. :D

THE POOR ANIMALS.

http://animal.discovery.com/tv/animal-cops/

I do watch it sometimes because it's nice to see the animals taken away from that, but sometimes it's too much to watch.

I AM NOT CLICKING THAT LINK. TOO SMART FOR THAT.

[identity profile] tripocket.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 04:25 pm (UTC)(link)
The socks have convinced me to move to Pete's World. I'm looking for work anyway so why not make a really big move? :)

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll join you!

[identity profile] tripocket.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I meant to ask if a bit of crackers helps with what I call 'medicine stomach"? I usually keep crackers or have a bit of toast to help. My meds upset my stomach too. Sorry you're feeling ick.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
That would probably help, yeah. I just need to go eat something even though I don't really want to.

[identity profile] sunnytyler001.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Take care!
( I caught a cold! For my last week in Iceland! Damn!)
And the Doctor is in denial about Bob... Rose is right, as always! ;D
Ooohh, what if something "weird" happened on the set of Bob, during the filming of one episode... or one character becoming alive... Bob, for exemple, starting to flirt with Rose. Lol. That would show the Doctor that he isn't asexual... LOL.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 04:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks. :)

And of course Rose is right! :D (And in the future there might have to be more about Bob and his supposed asexuality. :D)

ISN'T IT GREAT HOW HAPPY TEN II AND ROSE ARE?

[identity profile] shinyopals.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 04:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Also *SQUISH* meds are always SO MUCH FUN.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 04:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks. :)

The socks make me happy to read. I'm so glad they are off being happy.

I hope you're feeling better. I found viewings of early season 2 to be helpful last week, when I was ill.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm happy for the little make believe world too.

And thanks. :)

I'd just like to say that your icon is all kinds of amazing!!

Hope you're feeling better.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-11-16 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks! :)

I hope you feel better soon. *hugs* And that you can stop taking the prescription forever.

And you guys and your recursive meta RPing; it's insane. :-)

And the Doctor firmly believes that Bob is asexual.

*facepalm* Of course he does. Fanboy.

[identity profile] mrv3000.livejournal.com 2009-11-17 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks. :)

And that whole thing had me giggling. :D
