Medication has made me nauseous today. It doesn't happen very often, but I called in sick. Blech. In a couple of days I start taking half doses for a while and then go off it. I'm hoping I can stay off. The side effects are mainly mild, but still not pleasant.

ANYWAY, I read some sock stuff this morning, which cheered me up. So we have these socks that are based off a fictional show. Yesterday these socks started talking about a fictional show they were watching (which bears a striking resemblance to a certain real show), and then one of the socks wrote fanfiction. About the fictional show. And he's fiction himself. Based on fiction. This is some sort of madness, isn't it? :D

No spoilers for DW's The Waters of Mars, but maybe some general impressions...

Waiting for those burgers to finish cooking? You can always read how Jackie Tyler and Donna Noble went to see Twilight. There is texting. And drinking. And...you probably don't want to read it if you have any sort of good feelings towards Twilight in general. :D

You know how sometimes things on DVD commentaries are only funny to the people doing the commentaries, but they shove it on the DVDs anyway? altverse is a closed community for DW sock puppets to discuss things like the plot, and what time it is in the UK, and how to torment shinyopals/alienish_being in bigger and better ways. But we've gone ahead and posted some random quotes from the community on the user profile of that community.

I'm terribly amused at a certain someone who might or might not have a Doctor RP journal. Said person would like very much to keep the Doctor in a perpetual woobie state so as to avoid any slappings for crappy behavior. What would you do as far as trying to teach the old dog new tricks?

Is it wrong that I'm getting so much entertainment out of the altverse socks? First there was the Doctor and Rose, and now they've been joined by Jackie and Donna. And there's already been some Doctor smacking by both Jackie and Donna. :D
