The show is back!! \o/ And even though I can't say this is one of my favorite episodes, I'd still rather watch this than most everything else on TV right now.
Can Sophie come back yet? I'm sorry, but I just don't buy Jeri Ryan as a grifter. Yes she can put on librarian glasses or wedge herself into a tight dress, but to me a grifter is someone who oozes charm. They're a snake. Sophie was a slippery snake, which I mean in a good way. (Hell, she even conned the Leverage crew after they'd been together for a while.) Jeri Ryan/Tara is more a...square bull peg in a round china shop hole. The show keeps telling us just how good she is, in hopes we don't notice. The show is more of a snake than Tara is.
It's not really a good fit, and when can Sophie come back? I'm not sure what Leverage's filming schedule was like, but hopefully they took a break (like they took an airing break) which would give Gina Bellman more time to be pregnant and do the baby thing and then come back. *grabby hands*

In my house we were all kind of hoping Sophie would turn off the video and walk into the room. *sigh* I get that the the finale and premiere used standard introduction tropes (She can con them! She's Not Like Sophie! She doesn't get along! Except when she suddenly does!) but she's just not very...fun, I guess.

*nods* It's the ugly side of fashion no one ever talks about.

I was waiting for that too! But all we got were credits. Hmph.

For a grifter, she really doesn't want to fit in very much. I find this extremely odd.
