I'm pretty sure the writers are trying to make Renee be girl!Jack in a way, but to me she's gone much further than that. She's a sociopath. Sure Jack has done worse things while undercover, but he wasn't "whateverz" about it. I predict either complete mental breakdown or getting herself killed by the end of the day. Probably sooner.

I still am loving Katee (damn, she can rock a scene), but I'm starting to get tired of her storyline already. She and Chloe need to off this guy and bury him in the backyard already.

I agree re Renee. If she continues this way she'll be dead before hour 6. And given that she seems to have an actual connection with Jack, which was quite touching when she hugged him, that would be sad. But just another screwed up thing in Jack's life I suppose.

Katee seems to be Kara "hey I can mess up my entire life by making bad relationship decisions" Thrace only with longer hair here. I mean, puh-lease. Can we just get Jack to beat the living crap out of this guy already? Or at least have Chloe help Katee/Kara/Jen/Walsh (whatever her name is) off the guy so we can get back to the usual stresses at CTU?

Apparently they didn't teach that at CTU Senior Technical Analyst school.

What gets me though is that she's changed her name, started a new life, got a Top Secret clearance, but nobody at CTU seems to know any of this! Yet somehow her ex-boyfriend recently released felon with only a blue van to his name has tracked her down, found her residence, her cell phone number, and can call her at her job! I mean, WTF? Does CTU publish their locations, employee names, social security numbers, salaries, and home addresses or something??

Yeah. I'm hoping for a really good explanation, but we probably won't get one.

It's not something 24 is typically strong on, unfortunately.

Yes! It totally throws off the pace of the episode. It feels very tacked-on.
