(no subject)

  • I flipped past Curling last night and watched a couple of minutes. I now want Mythbusters to do a study because I totally do not believe that those brooms do a damn thing. (You think I'm kidding, but I'm NOT.)

  • I really enjoyed Lost last night! No spoilers, but it was the first time this season that I've actually been intrigued.

  • I had a rant about fandom and Rose and how it's obviously okay to singly exclude her from "women rock" kinds of things, but...it just makes me tired. And DW fandom will never change, inserting whatever excuse sounds like good justification. Thumbs up, fellow female fans. (And just as a warning, I've no desire to get into big discussions about it here. Did I mention the tired? Seriously.)

After reading the links by [livejournal.com profile] platypus, I'm more willing to accept that the brooms might do something. Possibly... :D

I like that the ice is apparently flawed intentionally. I BET VANOC DID A WONDERFUL JOB THEN! (lol like all of our ice venues have been bad for some inexplicable reason)

I wonder how they tell if something is flawed enough...

The brooms reduce friction on the ice, thus effecting the speed and direction of the stone.

That's what they want you to believe. *nods*

If it's good enough for Canada, it's good enough for me!
