HOLY SHIT! Jacob was seriously, SERIOUSLY freaky. That definitely deserves an OMGWTFPOLARBEAR! FREAK. Y. There was flailing at the "help me." ACK!
See, I would not make a good action hero. I was panicking in sympathy when he was at the door to the shack. "Turn back, John! Turn back!"
That was pretty cool since you totally thought Ben was a nutcase, and then BAM. EEEEK!
Why don't I believe that John's dead? The island heals people, so until he's buried or blue, I'm not buying it.

ETA: Okay, beyond all that and getting to some sort of trying to figure out what's going on - I'm thinking the writers threw everything in a blender and hit 'frappe.' They don't have a frickin clue. It's sorta amusing.

Personally, I think it's really nice to get this level of WTF that reminds me of S1. Super creepy, too.
I like how the writers are all "We're going to give you answers about the Dharma Initiative, see look, it all makes sense, CREEPY GHOST-MAN IN CHAIR AND PS WE KILLED LOCKE!!"
No, I don't think Locke is dead. He's too important to the plot, and one of the strongest characters. Now Charlie? He's toast by the finale.
(Although I heard a random rumour that as many as seven people could die in the finale, but I think they'll be mostly redshirts. Take away seven and who do you have left?)
And how much am I loving Ben? More every day. Seriously, that guy gives good creepy.

Right! There hasn't really been that creepy what-the-hell-is-that since S1.

*snickers* They are sneaky - turns out the Dharma Initiative isn't the real mystery. They were just some researchers that got offed.
