Jul. 4th, 2006
Hmmm. Something to do. Normally I've got places to go on the 4th, but this year everyone's either out of town or have their own plans. Maybe I *should* get those DVDs. The rage seems to have subsided a bit. Just a bit. Plus I've had my coffee now. Although...why would I spend $60 on a show I'm really starting to loathe? (Which right now is mainly being caused by the BBC press machine.) (Yes, I will be like this through Saturday.)
Thought about seeing a movie today, but the only one I really want to see, the new Altman film A Prairie Home Companion, is a bit of a drive since the theaters in my area are just playing the mainstream movies.
Well, the movie I *really* want to see is PotC2, but that's not out until Thursday.
For some reason I have no desire to see the Superman movie. I think it's because my early impressions of Superman were through the Christopher Reeve movies and even at a young age I thought Superman was dull. So the character has always been too goody-goody in my mind. I'd rather watch Batman. (Oddly enough, I did watch Lois and Clark for the full run though. I'm fickle.)
( Saw Cars yesterday. )
