More details about Martha and S3. Fic Martha completely unrelated to canon Martha now. And...I just really don't care anymore. Having a rather blah feeling about Doctor Who in general at the moment.

Told [livejournal.com profile] josephides a while back - if I had really understood what the show was all about and known about the batshit fandom, I probably would have never watched a single episode in the first place. Way too much drama show-wise and fandom-wise. God forbid you actually ship in this fandom. People will never stop trying to get you to see the error of your ways.

Bleh.

  • Took me three days to figure out that the 16th wasn't this Saturday. I think the brain is broken.

  • Can't decide if I want to see Hollywoodland or not. Supposedly it's Film Noir...ish. I'd believe it when I see it. Maybe I should just break down, get Netflix and have them send me Laura. I'm in the mood to see Laura. Wait. Why don't I own this movie?

  • Meh.

  • ETA: Dumped water all over my desk. MEH, I say!

  • ETA2: Lemon cookie from the French bakery and a nonfat latte from Starbucks - I may be approaching normal again.

  • ETA3" *smooches [livejournal.com profile] poohmusings* for perking me up by hauling out old evilness. *cackles madly* Watch out for lightning! *upgrades mood*

Star Trek

Seeing lots of anniversary/birthday posts for Star Trek on my flist and it jogged my memory of a question I've always had. And who better to ask than my sci-fi-loving flist? I remember watching TOS as a kid. Not when it first aired - I'm not *that* old. But one thing always creeped me out - they went to some planet...or somewhere and found these people dead. They had been frozen in place or something. One person was maybe in the shower? But dead, of course.

I *think* it was a Star Trek ep, but I watched a lot of sci fi as a kid, and it's all this blurry memory. All I really remember was thinking I didn't want to be frozen. Brrr. Does this sound at all familiar to anyone?

I tried looking up eps on wiki, but nothing had the plot of "frozen people!!!" Heh. Although...just how many AU plots *did* they do in its 3 season run? o_O

Ended up buying "Laura" at Frys tonight (hence icon) and also the 1st season of Veronica Mars. What the hell - it was only $18 and everyone seems to love it. Guess I know what I'm doing this weekend.
