- Hmm. I can't seem to stop making plans on Saturdays. Two weeks in a row that DW's just going to have to wait. Oh well. Fun stuff with friends > TV. (Well, for the most part. We'll just have to see about 4th of July weekend now. ;))
- I bought the game The Longest Journey last weekend, and just finished it today. VERY excellent adventure game. It's older, yeah, but still good. I only had two quibbles with it. 1) You have to think of it as half adventure game and half novel. Really, a good chunk of it is about telling this saga - which is an interesting story - but I tend to suffer from short attention span sometimes. However, I happily discovered that by constantly hitting the Esc key, things go much faster. :D 2) ( Comment on the ending. )
- The Longest Journey came bundled with Dreamfall which I started up just now. And played for approximately a minute before controls rage set in. That has got to be one of the worst interfaces ever. The mouse controls - talk about motion sickness. And the keyboard - I hate when directions are screen-based instead of character-based. I can never get my brain to think that way. Of that minute I played, about 45 seconds of that was slamming into things, backing up, trying again - it should not be that hard to walk through a door! HMPH. I might have to pull up an old FPS to diffuse the rage while I wait for BSG.
