The Adherents of the Repeated Meme

Say everything you know about those of your friends' fandoms that you know only through fannish representations, rather than through ever having watched any.

Supernatural: Two brothers have sex. There may be ghosts involved.

Heroes: People have powers. Also, the ex-Doctor has powers as well as lots of hair.

Rome: Hot men in togas. My guess is you'll see some lions. And grapes.

Smallville: Superman: the teen years. And apparently Lana is The Pink Devil.

Friday Night Lights: People watching, playing and talking about football. Possible jock strap sightings.

Deadwood: Cowboy-type people riding horses and saying "fuck" a lot. Everyone in dire need of a shower.

Am I missing anything? (And I may have cheated by being exposed to an episode for a couple of these.)

Side note - am semi-busy this weekend so not sure how much of the DW vid will get done. Still trying to decide if I want it to be 100% S1 or S1 and S2. It's *not* a ship song, but rather just a "hooray for traveling!" song. Sorta. ;)

Rome? Carnivale?

So thinking about my previous post and shows I've not watched, I think I'd be most inclined to check out Rome. So is it 2 seasons and that's it?

Also, did anyone ever get into Carnivale? I saw the first couple of episodes of that and really liked it. Is that show still going? Or if ended, did they complete the story? Or was it left open-ended? I wouldn't mind watching it all if a complete story has been told.

And in looking up Rome on Netflix, I was reminded of my loathing of Romeo & Juliet (as it popped up on my "Rome" search.) The play, the movies...everything. If you can't figure out if someone's dead or not, you really don't deserve to procreate. Dipshits.
