Oh man, I hope the Hook fangirls don't reach Loki levels!

It the romance novel thing. It teaches us that the douche is just a douche until the right girl comes along ~~and let's us pretend it's actually us.~~

Of course I could go into some rambling speech about how women want strong males to give us strong children and protect us from predators, becasue our brains are primitive and guys like Hook allow us to tap into that primitive brain but....well I just did.

I can't say I like Hook too much, but I think that mostly comes from the fact that I'm pretty sure he's going to try to kill Belle.

EDIT: This was completely my problem with the Loki lovers. xD

Ha! They're nothing compared to Voldemort fangirls. They're smaller than Loki lovers but they're twice as crazed. At least Hook and Loki are pretty to look at.

Can I love Hook? I don't think he is AT ALL good. He was evil before and he is more evil now. I like my evil like I like my men: evil. :)

Ha, I like him but as a villain. See also: my feelings about Loki. I don't know why people feel the need to woobiefy the villains they love. Is it so hard to love a character while still going, "yup, totally generally someone who does bad things"? I promise you, fandom, it is not that hard.

It's like, you know, Draco. I love him. He's a terrible person in so many ways, but I love him because he tries so hard. Generally fails miserably but there you go. I mean, he's not as bad as he could be but you don't hand out gold stars for 'not being a murderer'.

Yeah, what's that award again? The Not Being as Big of a Dick as I Could Be Award. That gets handed out FAR too much by people. But he only murdered a little! :D

But yeah, I can see the evil-but-not thing with the Master, especially after we found out that the Time Lords intentionally twisted his mind. He didn't stand a chance.

This! If you're going to love the villain, love the villain! He's bad! He does bad things because he likes doing bad things. That's how I felt about Sylar way back in the early days of Heroes. And it's why I'm not as keen on Regina this season--I rather liked Evil Queen/Evil Mayor Regina. I liked knowing she was going to do the wrong/evil thing.

ugh, I hate the woobyfying. I love Loki, and I have so many feels about him but yes, he is an evil and a asshole. so is theon. so is cersei.

I find Hook rather boring. I like Rumple. and Regina. they're wonderful villains! I like villains!

But what if I love him yes, because he's a pirate and I have a thing for pirates, and because I find him super beautiful and Irish and I love the name Killian, but what if I love him BECAUSE he is evil? Even villains need a little love right? I don't really think he is good underneath, he is all powered by REVENGE and he is working with Cora so that can't be good, but I still kinda think he is the sexiest man in the show.

I feel like this would be one of those who do you f***, marry, and push off a cliff, where I'd totally do the first to Hook, marry Charming (duh) (or Graham if he's still an option) and then... Push Belle's dad off the cliff? Because what a dick move that was. (Which made me sad because animated film Maurice was always such a sweetheart!)

Ummm are people soon that? He's a villain! He's not exactly supposed to be treated well, since he doesn't treat others well either. Haven't these people heard of the golden rule? If he's a devil, a black sheep, a really bad egg, drink up me hearties yo ho, then he only deserves what he gets. But as long as he stays hot while he does it, I'm gonna be all over that. ;)

Oh geez. Look, I will be the first thing to admit that I have a thing for the guyliner and the leather, but just no. He's a bad guy who's willingly working with Cora, for pity's sake. Just no. I can enjoy watching him without woobie-ing him. (Let me tell you about my Loki issues!)
