I heard this on the radio driving into work yesterday morning. This radio show isn't a political one - it's mainly one of those goofy morning shows, but they do try and get involved in the community (helping open shelters, getting listeners involved in civic events). Yesterday they had on an Iraqi expatriate. One who used to be in the army and has met Saddam.

You can read politics into this interview if you must - I just saw it as someone's perspective/stories of having been there. And therefore very interesting.

Fic Amnesty

nandamai has declared this Unfinished Fic Amnesty Week!

I see that others have begun to post theirs - it's like a big lj block party! I have to get to reading them yet and I will (including nanda's) - I'm just tired now. Finished watching the finales of Farscape (!!!!!!!!!) and Stargate and am a bit drained.

This was actually one of the first things I wrote. I just happened to finish it days before the announcement broke about Daniel coming back. So this story just seems sad knowing what we know. And I never had the heart to release it. (Darn actual show is constantly messing up my fics!)

It's an episode addition (insertion - what would you call it?) to The Cure. What did Jack & Sam do when they took that sample back? Sam/Jack (of course), PG

Little note - I often cannibalize my unused stories, so if part of this sounds oddly familiar, like you've read it before in something else I've written, I'm sorry. I think I cut out the offending parts, but I'm not sure.
